Okay.. So I posted earlier today about which fitbit to get and recieved a bunch of options. I should say that the main reason I want one is for accurate calorie burn during workouts. Ive done a bunch of google searches on these but i trust your guys' opinions more. So do you guys think I should go with a polarft4 or will a fitbit with a calorie counter be pretty much the same? I want the easiest and most accurate option! :)

    If you want full day tracking, get a fitbit.
    If you just want something for workouts, get the Polar.

    Fitbit will help you see what your overall activity level is like and tell you an estimated TDEE based on what it tracks.
    The polar will help you get estimates on exercise burns (and really only accurate for steady state cardio).

    Fitbit only tracks steps and a few other things. It doesn't work well for workouts. I had (keyword) a fitbit. Tossed it because it was not accurate at all, didn't count stairs, was not accurate with steps - you had to swing your arm to get it to register (try that while carrying a toddler or pushing a cart). The polar will give you a far better accuracy when doing weights, and other exercises. Good luck!

    I've never owned a Polar, but I know that HRM's are only accurate for steady state cardio. The further away from that you get, the more the accuracy decreases.

    Fitbit calorie burns are estimates. For me the models without HR underestimate my calorie burn by about 200 calories per day on average. The addition of the HR brings it to about perfect for me. However this won't be true for everyone.

    Weight lifting is hard to determine the calorie burn for. I have gotten pretty reasonable estimates from my Blaze (and when I was using the Surge), but other people have reported massive overestimating for them.
