Has anyone experienced weight gain from nexium or similar? It seems to be happening to me very quickly though I am hoping it's just a water gain

I gain weight every time I take them, I am now taking ox bile or bile salts and it has helped so much with reflux and digesting my food. I bought it on amazon. Google it... I'm sure some of the natural sites blow it up like it's the best thing in the world but just use common sense. It took about a week to start woring0

My Dr put me on nexium for some digestive issues I was having and told me to stay on it until I had a gastro endoscopy. I did. The procedure showed some minor irritations but nothing significant. The surgeon told me to remain on nexium forever.
After being on it for about 18 months, I started experiencing some very negative symptoms (and interestingly, I did gain weight while I was on it). I did some research, and it turns out nexium is only meant to be used for a couple weeks. And it is not meant to be used by someone with my particular gene mutation. It actually put me into a rather dangerous situation.
But coming off nexium isn't so easy. You can't just quit. You've got to wean yourself off it ever-so slowly. It took me almost 6 months to get off it. And I feel so much better now that I'm off it.
Where I'm going with this is ... if you're experiencing odd symptoms on nexium, do some research and talk to your Dr. Perhaps there's something else that might work better for you.0 -

Thank you for your reply. I already get terrible side effects from other forms of medication for GORDON so not impressed that nexium is going the same way though on the grand scale of things weight gain is a lot less of a pain than other side effects in have had0 -
Should say GORD0
