i don't want my exercise to count towards my calories remaining. Is there a way to turn that feature off?

No you can't turn that off because that is how this site works. If you really want to make your calorie deficit so much larger by not eating your exercise calorie and have more lean mass burned off, then you could always simply change the calorie number for exercise to 1 calorie, or just don't log your exercise.0

Darn. My Fitbit is linked to my mfp and automatically updates my workouts. I can't unlink them because I need mfp to tell my Fitbit how many calories and nutrients I had.
Sad... Almost every exercise regimen including mfp's own articles suggest not eating them back unless you can't take the hunger
Silly that they can't do that. Makes my "macro" view page almost useles.0 -
I use Fitbit for exercise, sleep tracking, calories expended. I use mfp for calories in , macros and progress, They are not linked at all and it works well for me.0

If I unlink them I'd have to either input my calories into Fitbit, or use it completely separated like you do.
I was hoping for an easier marriage of the two. All I need is a "do not count exercise towards calories remaining" option. The upgrade to premium sort of hinted on being able to do that but I suppose that's not what they meant.0
