Too much?

Options
I honestly feel like im eating too much to lose weight! I've upped my calories from 1200 to 1430 daily as nothing was happening, and i've seen a lot of people say they've had success with the 'eat more to lose more' idea. I also burn an extra 200-300 calories a day with exercise...possibly more at weekends.
I tend to fill in my food diary at the beginning of the day, to plan out what im going to eat. I've just planned it out for today, and even now it seems like too much food. I've come in about 50 calories under, and thats not taking into account my exercise later. Will i really need to eat another 200 or so calories?? I feel like that's too much food lol.

Maybe my head is just in the wrong place, thinking that i have to be hungry to be on a 'good' diet and lose weight. Im gradually learning that that is not the case, but my head hasn't caught up!!

Just a bit of a rant. But also im concerned that i'm not doing it right and i really really don't want to get discouraged if i don't see changes!! :/

Would appreciate any wise words :)

Cheers xx

Looked at your diary its not that long since you upped it , and before that some of the time you were eating under 1200 , give it a chance and read the information below

This is just a part of it! please read the link above

Generally someone with a BMI over 32 can do a 1000 calorie a day (2 lbs a week) deficit
With a BMI of 30 to 32 a deficit of 750 calories is generally correct (about 1.5 lbs a week)
With a BMI of 28 to 30 a deficit of 500 calories is about right (about 1 lb a week)
With a BMI of 26 to 28 a deficit of about 300 calories is perfect (about 1/2 lb a week)
and below 26... well this is where we get fuzzy. See now you're no longer talking about being overweight, so while it's still ok to have a small deficit, you really should shift your focus more towards muscle tone, and reducing fat. This means is EXTRA important to eat your exercise calories as your body needs to KNOW it's ok to burn fat stores, and the only way it will know is if you keep giving it the calories it needs to not enter the famine response (starvation mode)

Oh i know, im not expecting anything to happen yet :)
Its a psychological thing i think, i just don't feel like i can be losing weight when i don't feel like im missing out on eating. Funny how our heads work right? Lol. x

I know how you feel - i've not lost any weight for months...keep bouncing around the same weight mark!

So yesterday I upped mine to to lose 0.5lb a week - which has brought my calories up to 1500ish - i'm terrified i'm going to put weight on!!

Loads of people have had success so I guess we'll see :)
