Q: Best book about health you've ever read?

Options
I love reading about health, nutrition, diets, exercise, healthy lifestyles, cookbooks, etc

If you could recommend just one book about eating/exercise what would it be?

Secondly - what is the best healthy cookbook you've ever bought?

The Diet Fix by Yoni Freedhoff
Love Me Slender: How Smart Couples Team Up to Lose Weight, Exercise More, and Stay Healthy Together by Thomas Bradbury and Benjamin Karney
The Power of Habit by Charles Duhigg.

If I had to pick one of these, I would highly recommend The Power of Habit.

Eat To Live had been a game-changer for me.

I need to check out this book! I quit smoking with his "easy way to quit smoking" book and found it to be really effective. Been smoke free for 3 years. Definitely need to check this out.

A college textbook on nutrition (library, Ebay, etc). They represent the general consensus among nutrition experts, as opposed to the popular books, which may be a single author's opinion masquerading as fact.

Regarding exercise, i'd read the study manual for a decent personal trainer's certification (NASM, ACE, etc). :+1:

Dr Bernstein's Diabetes Solutions was a game changer for me.

The Art and Science of Low Carbohydrate living was amazingly educational.

Good Calories Bad Calories was an amazing history of why Americans eat the way they do.

Pure, White and Deadly was way ahead of its time.

I tend not to buy cookbooks. I just google.
