    i found weighing and logging my food is the key.

    Discipline is easier to demonstrate if you accurately log your food. It's even easier if you use the information in the food database to plan your meals and daily intakes.

    I suppose that is one way to look at it. The word "discipline" often has connotations of strictness and inflexibility.

    The key to this site is to not eat more calories than your account tells you to. If you do that, MFP works, if you don't it doesn't.
