Vitamin Calories

Do you count the calories in your vitamins or exclude the them?

    I occasionally take a calcium chew, and I count it.

    My vitamins are prescribed by a dr. I take them as I would my other medicines. Or do I need to freak out and start worrying my other pills I take a day might have calories? I see no reason to count them...I'm 14lbs down.

    I log everything I put in my mouth. This includes my vitamins.

    I take the same vitamins every day, so I don't log the calories. When I am looking to cut back on calories I'm not going to be cutting back on the vitamins.

    Gummies you must log them.
    Some are loaded with sugar/calories/carbs, anything you call them.

    A supplement like fish oil may contain 10 calories.
    If you take it daily, why log it?

    I log my multivitamin because I track my calcium.
    The body can only absorb 500 mg of calcium at a time.
    I will avoid eating a high calcium meal with my vitamin and just take it later.

    This is exactly what I do and costs me about 50 cal a day. Nothing to break the bank over.

    I'm on calcium and D3 together hypercalcemia is very dangerous not possible from food sources alone (as far as my googling has shown - but im not a dr) but from supplements - mine are Dr prescribed and I have bloodwork done to keep an eye on the calcium in my blood. Thank you for the info regarding absorbtion as I'll make sure I don't take them with a calcium food source - did not know that.
