Yep, menopause is a pain in the - well, you know. I had never had the problem of my belly being where I carry my weight. Now, I do. The only thing that helps me is small portions - I eat 1200-1400 calories each and every day & will for the rest of my life. Finding out that This Is for the rest of our lives is a jolt to the system, however, once accepted and worked out - I'm good! Yep, I cut out different things and my hot flashes have all but disappeared - had them many many times a day and all night! There is a light at the end of this tunnel. I still get them when I have any alcohol - but, that is about it. So, I choose carefully if and when I wish to indulge in a drink. I lost 70# and would like to lose 10 more. Walking/jogging is my friend. I try and do 4-6 miles 6 times a week. Get out there after work every single day. Started not even being able to slowly walk 1/4 mile. Can really tell when I'm not getting that walk in. Have actually been able to do several 5K's, 10K's, and half marathons. You can do this! Try different combinations of foods to help with that belly bloat - I've cut any and all wheat products. Not everyone needs to do that - but, it works for me. Veggies, Fruits, Quinoa, and lean meats --0
