Hi all!
I have been doing this for two weeks now. I set my weight loss goal at 2lbs per week and I am losing 4lbs per week. Is this alright? I do have quite a bit of weight to lose but I want to be as healthy about it as possible! Thanks in advance!

In the first couple of weeks the weight loss will be higher than normal as you are losing water weight.

Just ensure you are logging accurately and consistently and eating enough food...

The weekly weight loss will slow down to an appropriate amount as long as you aren't in too high of a deficit.

It happened to me too, at first. No worries, it will slow down. Just make sure you are eating your recommended calories and not under.

Yeah, give it a couple more weeks. If you continue to lose weight at that rate, then you should up your calorie intake a bit and lose a bit slower. I always shoot for ~1-2 lbs/week on average. How many calories are you eating/day?

Yes, give it time, you lose more at first. My first four weeks weight loss in pounds: 2.8, 6, 3, 1.5. I'm eating back half my exercise calories now, goal being 2 lbs a week. Finding that right balance takes a little time.

    1700 that's what MFP recommended.

remember tho that it will change based on weight loss and at some point you should change your weekly weight loss goals based on amount of weight you need to lose.
