FitBit Caps Burned

Ok, I have tried the FitBit group but no luck! I got my FitBit Zip yesterday and figured out how to sync and all that fun stuff but now I have noticed MFP is keeping up with my steps through Fitbit but where it should show Cals burned to the right there's a 0. My Zip is telling me I have burned 1.032...What is going on and how on earth do I fix it! It's maken me crazy!!

Those 1,000 calories are probably already factored into MFPs calculation. The Fitbit adjustment is 'extra' calories, which I usually start to see around 3,000 steps.0

Click "Settings" then "Diary Settings" and check the "Enable Negative Adjustments" checkbox. Make sure to update the change at the bottom of the page. This will allow extra calories on your diary page once you earn extras from Fitbit.0

This actually does something different -- it allows calories to be subtracted from your daily allotment if your total activity for the day is less than your chosen activity level on MFP would indicate (Example: I tell MFP I am active, but every Saturday I sit on the couch all day binge watching Netflix -- so on Saturdays, my calories are adjusted down to reflect that I'm not moving much).0 -
I didn't realize that it subtracted calories because I've had mine set to 1200. MFP won't let you go below that so I've never had negative adjustments. I'll be upping my calorie deficit in a few weeks so I may see negative adjustments. Thanks for the info. I thought it was needed to sinc the calorie adjustments between Fitbit and MFP.0

I have mfp set to 1300 and I have negative calories enabled. I usually start the day with around -85 fitbit adjustment and when I get to around 3000 or so steps the number turns positive.0

You decide if you eat those or not. Mine are from just daily activities usually so I do not eat them. If you started wearing the Fitbit midday then ignore the adjustment for that day. Fitbit doesn't really know that you were moving before you put it on.
Fitbit counts all day burn. MFP estimates what your daily burn should be based on your stats and stated activity level. When you sync, MFP compares what Fitbit shows for burn so far & compares it to what MFP projected. IF you're ahead (burned more) you get an adjustment. If you're behind you see 0 or a negative adjustment depending on settings. Move more, until you see an adjustment. But again ignore the partial day. Fitbit is only giving you credit for BMR up until you put it on.0
