You don't need to shell out extra cash for weight gainers. Go on google, calculate your TDEE, and eat +500 for 1lb gain / week.

Expensive "calories" is all that it is.

Yeah, you're probably better off eating a bunch of doughnuts or a big bowl of ice cream every day. Arnold has a lot of fat instead of carbs in his shake, so just eat a bunch of dairy. Eating ice cream three times a day had to be more enjoyable than his shake and you'll gain faster.

Weight gainers become handy when you are swallowing a crap tone of calories daily and it becomes difficult to eat all of them - yet does not justify the price of most of the weight gainers on the market and the crap there is in a lot of them.
My "weight gainer" or post work out meal depending on the time of the year (only quantities and milk fat % will vary) is whey, milk, oats, fruit and a shot of creatine - blend it and chug it down - can easily get anything between 600 to 1500 calories in a pint.

I'm also assuming you're fairly new to weight lifting? You'll still be building off of your Noob gains. Just eat at a surplus with as many quality foods as you can. If you can't eat that much. Invest in a blende, whole fat milk, nut butters, and oats. Blend that up with some whey and fruit and there's easily 1000 calories. Also are you on a structured lifting program or are you just doing whatever whenever?
