life long yoyo dieter who thinks this program will finally be the one!! since i have my phone by my side all day, I record every morsel and sip I take. I'm looking for friends here but don't know how to send requests.

    Welcome to MFP.

    I think you can just message someone by clicking on their user name.

    But what I do is R-Click on the user name, open link in new tab.
    This opens a new screen with two green button choices at the bottom. This is were I Left-Click on the user name, from there the screen will open up with two green button choices. "Send Message" "Add As Friend"

    "Add As Friend" will also open a text box so you can send a message with your friend request.
