Legs Seizing Up

Help running people! I'm now starting to go longer distances (1.5miles to nearly 3miles with a mix of running and walking) on the c25k training app and my calf muscles are starting to seize up on the cool down walk home and I feel like I can barely bend my legs/walk- what is happening and how do i stop it?!

Static stretching after your run and a foam roller.
Slow down during your runs. Maybe back off a bit on the time/distance until your body adapts.
Strength training on your off days. Squats, lunges, calf raises, etc.
Be sure to have a couple days each week where you rest (no training at all).
Also, make sure you are getting enough fluids. Maybe add a sports drink in the mix.0 -
