This guy needs a butt

Ok so I have been looking at ways to improve the old caboose and what I come across are women exercising to build the butt but not men.
So my question is can I do the same butt excersise that women do? I know the obvious is yes since muscles are muscles but still want to make sure. I don't need a bubble butt however I would like something back there to hold my pants up.

Your thinking is correct: men and women can do the same exercises for butt, gender doesn't matter. Some popular exercises off the top of my head are squats, hamstring curls, lunges, and cable kickbacks, but I'm sure there are a lot on Google.0

Yes, you sure can. Here's a bit from Bret Contreras: https://bretcontreras.com/glute-training-for-men/0

Football players (men) do heavy hip thrusts. That move can help build muscle and make you better at your sport.0

My guy says that he never had a butt until he started doing Deadlifts.
And yes of course, glutes are glutes, they are in the same place on men and women!0 -
I felt a little silly asking since muscle growth is muscle growth. Thanks for the article jemhh.0

Yes! Squats will do a butt good if you have any knee problems a leg press machine is much better because it take pressure of the joint but any glute exercises you look up will work stick with weighted exercises rather than just body weight if you really want to gain the muscle0

throw 40 lbs on your midsection and do glute bridges ....they are LOADS of fun weighted0

I love barbell hip thrusts, heavy weight (150 lbs) with a pause and contraction at the top. Glutes will be on fire after 4 sets of 10. Do those, glute bridges and deadlifts will have them singing baby got back. However, some of it's genetics. You can build back there, but how much is dependent on your level of intensity and your genes.0
