So all the hype...
I want to do p90x one day....
I dont think I am at the point where I could handle it YET

For those of you who have done it - how fit were you to start???
For my weight/size I feel I am in fairly good condition - but I do have a long way to go fitenss wise.
I want to be p90x ready come maybe christmas time - I am aiming to lose 44lbs more before christmas - putting me at 105lbs down from my highest weight. I am thinking I should be relatively fit by then

    First off, hooray!!

P90X is one wicked tough workout, and I applaud you for considering trying the workout.

The great thing is, you can start the workouts at any level- and at any size. I highly suggest you start it- ASAP! It doesn't matter what your fitness level is at for these workouts. Rather, focus on which exercises you can do and at what level/modification. Each video has numerous variations of the same exercise, helping give ALL P90Xers a good workout.

If I could, I'd give you my videos RIGHT NOW. You can for sure handle it! Plus, it would be great to compare how you feel now about the program versus 90 days after. A lot of folks seem to be addicted to the workout and repeat following the program over and over again.

So I say go for it- don't wait and don't put it off. Try it out when you can- then let us all know how you do!!

Best of luck to you girlie!

Go for it!! I've had mine for almost a year and I JUST started on Monday (so sad..lol.) It is definitely a challenge, but you can do it. I'm somewhat fit, but I had to get over my fear and just do it. So far so good!! Don't wait like I did...do it now.

Good luck with it and don't hesitate because you think it will be "too hard." It is that way no matter what kind of shape you are in so the sooner the better and you will get your results sooner rather than later also!
  • I agree that you should definitely give it a try! However, if you find you really aren't comfortable with it yet, then I would highly recommend P90. It's what Horton suggests for people who aren't ready for P90X and while it's slower paced it is still a pretty good workout. Personally, I feel like I'm kind of inbetween the two so I started out doing just P90 and now that I feel comfortable with it I have been adding in some of the P90x rountines that I find a bit easier. I realize I'm really lucky though since I know people that own a tonne of fitness programs, so if you only have the budget for one I would definitely spend some time on beachbody.com and youtube to get a better idea of what you think about them. I must admit that P90 is only 2 rountines with various difficultities and that can get really tedious (especially if you have a short attention span, like me) so if you get bored easy you may be better off doing the modifications on X and working your way up. ^_______^ Anyway, good luck with whatever you choose.
