    Sea bass, baked w salt pepper garlic tomato onion and olive oil.
    Halibut is my favorite. Prepared any way is good, sometimes we bake it w a seasoned panko crust, very good.
    Fried red snapper.
    Recently tried swordfish and I thought it was really good, the texture reminded me of a tuna steak but not as firm.

    Love all fish and shell fish
    But as a Dutchie i love herring ( salted one) and smoked eal.

    Seabass and grouper- steamed (lemongrass, lime freshly squeezed, ginger, garlic, onion, chinese parsley, salt, pepper and keffir lime leaves)

    Red snapper- as a refreshing soup (with lemongrass, ginger, chinese parsley, garlic and a few herbs and spices for fish soup)

    Salmon- grilled

    As a Gulf Coast native, I adore redfish on the half shell with mango salsa. And stuffed flounder. And fried sea trout with Cajun remoulade. They taste even better when I'm the one catching them.

    I like sardines with tomato sauce, right out of the can, but nobody but the cats will hang out with me afterwards.

    Cooking Light has a recipe for Sweet Orange Salmon that makes even so-so farmed salmon delicious.

    Wild salmon - baked with olive oil, garlic, lemon and herbs.
    Shrimp - pan seared with jerk seasoning
    Raw oysters

    Salmon, swordfish, fresh tuna, trout, fresh anchovies and... how is in English?... striped red mullet or surmullet.

    I usually eat it grilled, with a simple salad with olive oil.

    But hey, swordfish is delicious prepared as breadcrumbed cutlets and salmon goes very well with tomato sauce :smile:

    Salmon. It is my every Monday night dinner. I love to sprinkle it with a bbq rub and sear in cast iron or grill it

    I like North Atlantic salmon, but only when I'm in the UK.

    So much more on offer in Australia, basically live on other fish.

    Red snapper and blue manna mud crabs in Western Australia... Cannot wait to go back, that's the first thing I'm eating!!

    I love salmon and halibut, both done on the BBQ. Love salmon on a cedar plank and the halibut brushed with olive oil and lemon pepper...really simple but so tasty!

    Tilapia...because it doesn't taste as "fishy" as some of the other ones.

    Adding a shout-out for anchovy. Lots of flavor in those little suckers, good as an unsung ingredient in many dishes. Plus, if I put them on a pizza, not only do I love the taste, but it's almost guaranteed no one else will touch a piece :wink:

    Mostly just any fish with good texture
    Economical: canned shrimp, canned crab (both very low in mercury content...if you have doubts, check FDA website)...a cheaper alternative is salmon (packet version, just not as delicious...similar to canned chunk light tuna in texture)
    Once in a Blue mood: Swordfish...with all the delicious mercury goodness

    Whiting is somewhat good nutrition-wise (extremely lean) but has a really light, collagen/gelatin like texture & is really cheap good alternative to chunk light tuna

    We go fishing every summer here in Wisconsin.(some all year round) Im hoping to catch some Perch his year. Also like fried Crappy and bass. I once had blackened sea bass that was better than lobster from a restaurant. Best meal Ive ever had.

    Halibut is hands down my favorite, but hard to find in the lower 48

    All I've seen mentioned are sea fish. I think the best are cold lake freshwater fish. Bluegill is the best, but walleye and perch are pretty close behind!
