anyone stalled?

Has anyone else's weight loss stalled since joining this site? I love this site and how I can see much more clearly what I am eating but I feel like the weight isn't coming off like it was when I was doing Weight Watchers alone. In fact, I still do WW and I will log my food here and there exactly the same and go over on my points for the day on WW all the time now whereas before I stayed a little bit under. I'm still eating the same except they give me 1200 cals on here so I try to meet that goal each day. I tried by not eating my exercise cals that I lose just in case that's what it is that is stalling me, but that doesn't make a difference. Maybe I've hit a plateau. I've lost 20 lbs so far and just want to keep going and not understanding why the difference just since I joined this site. It's very frustrating because I like it here.

Did you go from using points to "counting" calories without weighing the food?

How many calories has WW given you? 2 lbs. a week is an aggressive goal if you have less than 75 lbs. to lose.

Also, as previous poster said, are you using a food scale?

I weigh and measure every single thing I put in my mouth. It's definitely not that. I take that very seriously. :)

WW gives you points. I am not sure of how to determine how many calories the points equal. I just know I have 30 points per day and since starting here at MFP I've been going over most days on WW whereas on this site it will say I have more left for the day. I was losing weight really well doing WW. I love this site though and want to keep trying it but it's a little confusing.

Hi... at one point I was doing WW but I stopped because it was to strict for me lol...I was eating up all those 30 points by lunch and when I added up the calories it was only equally about 700-800 calories!! MFP works best for me. I also lost about 20lb and stalled like you!!!... what I did was switch up my food... I was eating the same food items ( my safe foods) almost everyday and when I changed it up a little I started to lose again.

1200 calories is the lowest (default) that MFP will give women. It is often unnecessary to eat just 1200 calories. How much weight do you want to lose?

If WW works for you and you like it, stay with that. But calorie counting does work, doesn't cost anything, doesn't eliminate foods, etc. The key will be having a reasonable (not overly aggressive) calorie goal, and accurate logging.

How long exactly has it been since you lost weight at all?

Thanks! This is what I needed to hear. And yep, they are my safe foods. That's a great way to put it. I really hadn't thought about it that way either.

I've lost in the past two weeks but only a few ounces and I keep fluctuating.

I wouldn't consider that a stall. That more like normal fluctuations. You probably just need to give it more time, especially since you're still losing. 2 weeks of fluctuations even with a loss could easily be a whole plethora of water retention possibilities. You should only be concerned if you have 4-6 weeks of no loss at all.
