Hi All, Just wondering what your favorite protein bars are, which you think are the best and how often/when do you eat them? I like the Power Bars for after working out but also need something to snack on throughout the day when I'm not at my desk.

Quest Bars - Cookies & Cream and Peanut Butter & Jelly are my favorite.

Just tried a new one the other day that was pretty good and would work well when you're craving cake or something, Oh Yeah Birthday Cake bars:

I enjoy Luna bars and have had good luck with Quest. Had a Luna bar and banana for breakfast today because I am out and about. I eat them a few times a week.

Quest bars in my area are $3 a piece. That's over $1,000 a year. I stick to pure protein from walmart (good enough).
.57 each when they go on sale at costco

Pretty much just Quest and Larabar. I've heard the others aren't nearly as good due to sugar content and other factors.

Pure protein bars are pretty good if you get the right flavored. Some flavored can be high in sugar. However, they fill me up and keep my full for a long time!

I tried all of the above and more. I will always go back to Oh Yeah Victory bar , cookie dough and cookie and cream, it is a better taste, healthier option and nothing artificial, good macros. I eat them daily 1 bar per day split in half. They sell at Publix for $2 per bar

    No Cow are my favorite!

    21g protein, 20g fiber, 4g fat and only 160 calories...AND they're delicious!

    *nods in agreement*

I am so done with Quest. I never received their sample of the re formulated bars, and they raised their prices. Ugh $40/ box here in Canada. F that. Combat crunch bars are awesome, I haven't found a flavour I don't like. Think Thin, the salted caramel ones are goo too, but have only 10 grams of protein. I'm also a fan of Robert Irvine's Fit Elite bars, the birthday cake flavour is my favourite.

I'm not a fan of Quest bars (love their protein chips). I like Pure Protein, Supreme Protein and ThinkThin bars. I'll have to check out Combat and No Cow.

They're between $4 and $5.20 each here. I love the cookie dough flavour, and treat them like gold, and only have one when i really, really, really want one. I could easily eat 2 a day everyday, and would if they weren't so damn expensive!

I have yet to find a protein bar with better macros AND taste here.

Combat Crunch Bars are my absolute favorite! Cookie dough is the best - throw them in the microwave for a few seconds...even better :)

Quest is clearly the best, though expensive. I just make my own. Still can't get the macros of quest bars with homemade, especially the fiber content-- how do they do it?

Do you buy that fibre liquid stuff? Someone here will know what it's called.

After reading up on the quality control issues with supplements, my reservation has always been whether the products match the label claims.

Ahh, that must be their trick. no, I haven't heard of it before. Would be interested in trying a quest imitation recipe with it though.

I love when I can make something from scratch. Will you share your recipe(s)?

i love quest bars - double chocolate chip and chocolate chip cookie dough are a couple of my faves, but sometimes i'm in the mood for the chocolate mint chunk, and the apple pie is really good. i have a half as a protein boost through my day or as protein for a meal sometimes when i want chocolate as well as protein. also handy to carry along the day after an intense workout in case you get hungry early and want to feed your muscles.

since i'm allergic to wheat and don't eat sugar, quest bars totally rock.

I believe the trick to a lot fiber is due to chicory root fiber. I see that as an ingredient in a lot of really high fiber foods. But this is just a guess with no hardcore data.

I love my Quest bars too, but I'm not a fan of the Cookies and Cream one. My favorites are Double Chocolate Chunk and Cinnamon Roll...especially if you nuke them for a few seconds. I actually prefer them over any candy bar.

Iso-IMOs you can buy or use vitafiber. I bought and made some of my own, still not as good as old formula quest.

I used to eat 5 quest bars a day, but the formula changed and they are not that good anymore or worth the money. I recently purchased 40 boxes of old recipe on ebay though so I should be set for awhile :). So for me quest old recipe is the BEST protein bars I've ever had. Once these are gone, I will be so sad. I tried eating the new ones, and they are just OKAY.

I like pure protein caramel peanut, venture bar (very VERY similar to quest old formula and new company), B up bars, and probar core

Pure Protein are the best bang for the buck for me. Same protein and calories (roughly) and 1/4th of the price of quest bars. I don't care about the other macros or fiber really as that isn't their point for me. Plus, Quests are gross to my taste buds.

Also been liking the ThinkThin Protein bars.

I like quest bars. Choc chip cookie dough and cookies n creme are my faves. They're cheaper online. I order directly from quest. They sometimes have free shipping. I also like Power Crunch bars. All of the flavors are good. Little low on protein compared to others but I like the wafer like cookie. I treat them as an occasional treat though

Power crunch mint when I want a chocolate bar, which is rarely. It's bigger than skinny cow and not as sickly sweet as a snickers or kit Kat :) I also really like kind bars way more but that's not a protein bar I guess.

I really really like Clif Builder's Bars. They are a little high on the calorie count but the mint one is amazing. It tastes like a mint chocolate chip cookie bar. I don't eat it that often, maybe a couple a week. The Luna Protein mint chocolate chip bars are good too.
