I am pre diabetic and started the Keto way of eating March 2nd. I have lost 6 pounds but most important I am already off medication (metformin) and I have literally went from size 17 to 13 pants! I probably sound like some ad but I am not. I am 59 female and still need to lose more weight and daily working on it.

I'd like to hear more about how you got off the metformin....We're the same age and I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes.

Keto does wonders for diabetics and metabolic disease. As well as epilepsy interesting enough. Congrats! Way to go!

Get to a healthy weight if you're not already. Eat low carb or keto. The End

I just totally eliminated sweets and carbs. I eat less then 40 carbs a day. The carbs I do eat come from things like heavy whip cream for data, some cheeses and I can't seem to give up my Lindt chocolate at 85%. I don't remember bread anymore, fast foods, fries, chips, cookies candy donuts and all that stuff is gone! The sweets was thee hardest for me to give up. My go to treat is wardens chocolate syrup mixes with some heavy whip cream and I buy car masters milk and add that in. About two weeks into it my blood sugars were running low on metformin so I just stopped taking it..... I've never looked back and my dr is happy! I don't care for veggies so hopefully you do but I eat mostly all protein and fats now, sour cream, full butter, full ranch cream cheese cheeses etc
