There is a thread every couple of days about 'detoxes' so I will sum it up... They are unnecessary - no need to 'flush out the toxins' since that's what your liver is for. Some (non homemade ones) are just scam to take your money, and homemade ones are just as ineffective only they cost less. That's that...if you are interested more just search fot other discussions on the subject...there have been MANY. My advice...just forget about 'detoxes'.12

Does anyone have a link to the thread titled "so you want to do a detox". I can't remember the exact title.
I just spent 15 minutes trying to find it, I'm detoxed out!

They are a waste of time. They do not "kickstart, speed up, or help you lose weight in any permanent way. Your body has a natural detoxifying system that work just fine.2

When it comes to detoxes, there aren't opinions, there is fact and there is fiction. The scientific fact is that your liver and kidneys rid your body of any dangerous or unhealthy toxins, and if there is a toxin that your liver and kidneys can't handle, no homemade detox crap is going to help. Don't waste your time or money.5

I think because CICO is such a simple concept some people feel the need to make it more complicated by doing things like detoxes in the misguided hope that it will do something 'miraculous'.

You have a liver and kidneys that "detox" your body.
If they are not working, you'd need more than some "detox" bought at a "health food shop" to fix it.0 -
unless youre a heroin addict, you dont need to detox2
