Recommended Weights Plan - Experienced beginner?

Hi everyone,
I've been working with a PT for the last 6 months or so, mainly doing weight training but unfortunately he's left my gym. I'd like to try training on my own and see how I get on as a regular PT is slightly out of the realms of what I can realistically afford (especially as I want this to be a lifestyle change, not a year diet!).
I'm looking for a weights program I can do which isn't going to be unachievable - one i've seen has things like pull ups which i'm not going to be able to manage and it's frustrating constantly modifying plans. However, I do want to make sure i'm pushing myself week by week and having a plan which structures what you do would be helpful.
I have NROLFW but wondered if anyone else has suggestions of good weight lifting plans which push you to progress? I've also tried The Female Training Bible from bodybuilding.com but find it very heavy on intervals and less focussed on weights.
Thanks!
Lauren

a lot of girls here like stronglifts 5x5,0

Why not ask your PT to write you a program? A PT's plan can be superior to the cookie-cutter programs, because it's customized to your abilities and preferences.0

Another vote for SL5x5 - I'm 3 months in and still enjoying it and seeing progress.0

Allpro's beginning weightlifting program is working great for me. The science behind this old-school plan is amazing. http://forum.bodybuilding.com/showthread.php?t=4195843

Could you track him down? Nobody can stop you from hiring a PT on a personal basis.
Otherwise, Stronglifts 5x5, Starting Strength or Strong Curves are all good. If you want more accessory work, then Ice Cream Fitness is basically Stronglifts + lots of accessory work.
Oh, and as far as pullups go, you can always just do lat pulldowns until you get strong enough to do negatives on the pullup bar (and there are other progressions to pullups, too -- lots of people have to work up to those).
