Diets are a lot more sustainable when you don't starve yourself and exercise to exhaustion. Just because you think you have the willpower to lose weight quickly doesn't mean it's a good idea.

Quit giving up. Don't diet, change your lifestyle. Food does not fix lonliness, anger, or sadness. Enjoy life now. Don't let your weight hold you back.

It should be a lifestyle change; not a diet. It's nice when there is not major date that you need to achieve as it allows you to make little dent in the weight at a time and those sure adds up. Also it avoid depriving yourself and the effect that it has on your body or over exercising. Eat well and move / exercise regularly and the weight will eventually come off.
