Start Stronglifts Now or Wait?

I'm interested in starting Stronglifts but I'm not sure if it can be incorporated into my workout schedule. The main reason I'm considering Stronglifts is that I'm bored with cardio and am looking for a replacement while continuing to lose weight and get toned. I've lost 50 lbs and have surpassed my original goal weight, but I'm not quite happy with my body yet so I'm thinking another 10-15 lbs would put me in the happy place.

My schedule has been:

Mon - 60 mins cardio (mix of treadmill, elliptical, stair climber)
Tues - 60 mins with personal trainer (full body strength training)
Wed - Rest
Thurs - 60 mins cardio (mix of treadmill, elliptical, stair climber)
Fri - Rest
Sat - 60 mins with personal trainer (full body strength training)
Sun - Rest

On the Mon and Thurs cardio days, I've tried doing half the workout that I do with my trainer and then only do 30 mins of cardio but I'm still bored and the 30 mins of cardio seems to go on forever. The other options I've been considering if I can't fit in the full Stronglifts program are doing it twice a week instead of 3 or not do Stronglifts yet and take group classes instead, such as TCX (total body conditioning) or the circuit training class - maybe even a Zumba class to get in some cardio. I would appreciate the thoughts and opinions of those more experienced than me. What would you do?

Just a note: The Tues and Sat sessions with my trainer can't be changed due to his availability but all the other days are flexible. I enjoy working out with him and he keeps me motivated so I'm going to continue with our sessions until I lose those last 10-15 lbs so maybe another 2-3 months.

Not sure why you want to incorporate Stronglifts when you're already doing twice-weekly strength training -- even if you do Stronglifts twice a week instead of three, four days of full-body strength training would seem to be problematic for recovery.

You get bored with what you're doing now and you're not satisfied with the results of what you're doing now but your biggest concern is how to incorporate SL with what you're doing now?

Ask the trainer to do a SL program for while he's there, with accessory lifts to get your time you pay for - then you add in another day like Thu.

A good trainer is to help you with YOUR goals - and if that goal now changes and his selected program isn't your desire - he should be willing to change no problem.

I didn't mean to give the impression that I'm not satisfied with the results - sorry for the confusion. Let me clarify: I'm very happy with my progress and results and am ecstatic that I've met and passed my goal weight. When I set my goal weight 8 months ago, I had no idea what my body would look like when I got there as it's been 20+ years since I was this weight. Now that I'm there, I've gotten greedy and want more - I feel great and I think I look great but I want to look absolutely fantastic (in my own mind) and I now have a certain "look" as my goal, which may or may not be those last 10-15 lbs. This "look" includes a more defined and toned body so besides boredom, that's one reason I'm looking at replacing cardio with Stronglifts/strength training.

The workout schedule I posted (along with eating at a deficit, of course) has worked well to get me to where I am today but after 8 months of this, I'm ready for a change but don't want to stall any further progress. With all the successes of Stronglifts that I've read about, I thought it might be a good option to help me along the path to get to my new goal and alleviate the boredom of cardio.

That's your answer. You're bored with all the cardio. Make cardio less important -- once or twice a week -- and get under the barbell post-haste.

Run outside to get rid of the boredom. Pick a 5K and train for it. I would be bored of doing dreadmill etc that much too.
