Promoting the HRM

I just have to give a good word for the individual(s) who created the HRM!! This has been the biggest motivation ever for me. I log my food and I know exactly what I need to see on that HRM before I stop and I usually reach my goal everyday. If you are struggling (and most of us do from time to time) this may be the tool to get you going! I don't sell them, I'm just amazed at how much they help! I love the accuracy of it and that, along with MFP, is going to be what gets me to my goal! I have the Polar F6 Very much worth the money!

Thanks clewliss for sharign, I've been pondering for some time as to buy one or not, I have a cheap one that you have to press your thumb very very firmly on to get the pulse - which hardly works, plus on top of that, it reckons I burn up in excess of 200 calories just walking from my lounge to the toilet - my house aint by a long chalk a mansion - but hey, I wish it were, ooooohhhhh, I'd run round it all day to fight the fat   :laugh:0

What is an HRM?
It's a Heart Rate Monitor- while you exercise, it counts your calories burned, time, ect...! You wear it like a watch and mine has a chest strap that goes around my chest. On the Polar F6, you can enter your age, height, weight and all that, so it's pretty accurate! Hope this helps some. You can google it, too!0 -

yeah I love the polar F6. the machines in the gym under report because they don't know if you are working hard or just loping along. always a good thing to have accurate information0

The chest strap drives my batty, I find that when I sweat, it becomes just gross....and uncomfortable, I've even gotten a stupid rash , so now I wear a wrist one0

I got a Polar F6 a little over a week ago, and I've been exercising a lot more now that I have it- I find that it's really motivating to know how many calories I'm burning. I thought the chest strap would bother me, but I barely even notice it. Definitely worth the money.0

Yep, huge HRM fan here too. Hubby and I both got Polar F6's about three weeks into our weight loss journey and have been amazed at how much it has helped the process. The chest strap doesn't bother me at all either.0
