OP, forget about the scale right now. Let's discuss if you're weighing your food and how you're calculating your exercise because....in perfect world numbers, you are WAY undereating.

FitBit is giving her her exercise calories.

@BR527 - if you are logging everything you eat and your FitBit is set up correctly, with you regularly undereating by 1000 plus calories per day, the weight should be melting off you. Something isn't right.

The food scale is obviously a big one as everyone has mentioned.

Another idea is to try and see if these are normal fluctuations by logging your weight into an app like Happy Scale. It will let you know whether or not you are on the right track.

    Hope this helps!

Yeah, I missed that the first time she said it but caught it after I posted. If she's not weighing things, I think she's eating more than has been logged but still...she leaves a HUGE margin of error.

Still, it's only been a week. Or did I miss where she's been steadily gaining? Because I definitely didn't miss the:

    ONLY
    A
    WEEK

    thing. :p

Don't have a scale. As far as chicken and fish, they usually pack as in the weight of it. In the case of chicken, I just take off a fraction of the package.

Sometimes I do leave it around 1200ish in case it's a little more in reality. And then there are times I don't eat everything but left it there just to reach 1200.

You've just identified probably one of the biggest problems people run into (and we've all been there lol). A food scale is soooo important. You need to be accurately weighing your food intake, in grams, to be accurate in tracking.

I lost 10 pounds in the first few weeks then started tracking daily on happy scale. 1000 calorie deficit a day and I went up before I started going down again. If you are sure you are maintaining your deficit then don't worry - it's just water. 8crwh28hm19t.png

I'm starting to think it's really constipation. Not to be too TMI, but it's hard to push down. :#

I with the consensus that its the lack of a food scale and underestimating calories. Keep doing what your doing for another two weeks or so and if still no weight loss then its for sure your calories intake is being underestimated and then you need to get a digital food scale for sure.

And to back track, I've been steadily losing. The weight I am now is from the doctor's office. Then I fluctuate during my time of the month. After that ends, it goes down again. But I noticed it fluctuated again despite my clothing feeling very loose. Could be the lack of poop or too much sodium whenever my husband takes me out to eat or not taking a rest day in days. That's all.

Oh I hate the doctor's office scale! I'm always 3-5 lbs more than when I weigh at home. But, then again, they won't let me strip completely naked before getting weighed at my doctor's. :)

That definitely can give you a false reading on the scale. Also, tom/hormones is a biggie too. But, really a food scale is going to be your best friend. I got mine for like $10 at the grocery store and I use it several times a day. Even as a 'veteran' of this whole thing I recently realized that I was overeating my rice and oats because I was using cups to measure them. I was weighing everything else in grams on the scale, but for some reason I didn't even think to weigh these two things on my food scale. After reading someone elses post I had a 'duh' moment and started using my scale-yep, I wasn't being accurate (especially with my oats). And I eat these things daily. It's crazy how the extra calories can sneak in! Gotta use the food scale :)

Usually, they are off by a pound.

On the bright side, I went down a bra size and my work uniform feels loose, especially on top. In the past, it feels snug along the bust. Now, it's not that much.

Seriously, this is absolutely the key to it all. It's the answer to these threads more times than not.

Thrive is amazing for weight management. It gives your body the needed vitamins and nutrition so your body can do what it's suppose to do whether that's gaining or losing weight

Just a quick update. I did buy a food scale at BBB for $20. I also bought an FitBit Aria scale since it syncs with my FitBit. Then I compare the two scales after dinner. The other scale is 5 pounds heavier than the Aria scale. The Aria scale is more accurate considering I just finished eating and had some water. Usually, I'm a few pounds heavier later in the day and of course, after eating.

So I'm going to try again when I wake up tomorrow. If it goes down by a couple of pounds, than I know it's the scale that is causing this. But at least now I have the food scale to measure more accurately.

Another note: I lost almost 4% of body fat since my doctor's appointment last month when I was considering getting weight loss surgery. That's a small victory for me.
