Alright MFP people :) is there anyone that can give me some pointers and insight as far as what my macros should be daily? My calorie intake should be about 1860 from what MFP calculated. Also, MEAL PREP...teach me all the secrets to succeed with that :# ! I'm a fulltime bartender so I work crazy hours and I HAVE to have a good meal plan set up so I don't FAIL. Any suggestions of the most beneficial foods to incorporate into my daily diet would be awesome! TIA!

Don't snack on the cherries at the bar-- I work as a bouncer and I eat at least 10 per night haha. Well, at least log them like me if you do.

Eat lots of vegetables and lean meat, then fit in a treat. Buy tuppelware and don't eat out. If you get to the point where you are eating out a lot becasue you're too hungry and "need something"-- that's your fault an you need to make adjustments to your preparations to accommodate.

We have a full restaurant at work also so that's the toughest part...food EVERYWHERE. I bring something for dinner with me but I work 12 hours two nights a week so I'm on my feet running literally 12 hours straight and end up STARVING. Today is my first day tracking me foods. What's a good meal that will keep me full longer?

I used to bartend and I would ALWAYS keep a ziplock of some kind of healthy snack in my purse/behind the bar. You can pre-portion it out at home so you know how much to log. My go-to's were always almonds and apple slices. Even just a KIND/LARA bar was nice to get me through until the end of my shift

unsurprisingly, foods with lots of volume will fill you up the best. Do you have access to a fridge/ cool storage? Roasted vegetables, fruit, protein bars, quinoa lentil salad, green salads and oatmeal are all good options if you can't keep your stuff cold.

If you can keep a tuppleware container cold then you're options are limitless. i've been making these [retty consistently for the past few years.

Here's the macro calculator I have been using. http://www.iifym.com/ As for food prep, you'll have to do some experimentation to see what works best to keep you full. I like veggies, bananas and whole grain carbs along with meat. Boiled eggs and jerky work for me too. Drink lots of water too.

What brand/type jerky do you eat? That would be something easy to keep on hand at work along with almonds in case I need a snack.

I have full access to a fridge so I can keep anything in it! Goodness. I have so many questions! My biggest down fall is...I have a sweet tooth. What type of things can I do to help curb those cravings?

MFP calculates them for you. On the web page they're at the bottom. On the phone app hit the nutrition button at the bottom of your diary. Try to get them to the top without going over. Especially try to get the protein to the top.

Thank you!I didn't even realize it shows what my goals per day were in each category. Now to figure out what has what amounts of each in them!

Do you use any old tupperware? Or did you purchase the meal prep containers I constantly see online etc? What's the easiest way to meal prep? I use to make all my sons baby food and would make a months worth one Sunday a month so I'm assuming it's like that just for a week at a time? What holds up best being cooked and stored? I have so many questions!

Each Sunday I go to the market and buy veges I cut these into stir fry pieces. put them into a container, keeping onion seperate. My meat I take home, weigh it and freeze it in 120gm lots This way I have very little prep after I get home, and can use this all week for stir fries, soup, like asain noodle and just stir fry with oyster and soy sauce. Rice and noodles are another thing that I cook and freeze into serving lots in snap lot bags. Works well if you are cooking for family, you just cook a little more and put it away. If you access to a fridge you will have a microwave handy as well remember not to over cook if you are heating up later. Thats all I can think of at this time. Hope it helps.
