Hello! For my height I should definitely lose at least 100lbs, but I need to set a realistic goal for myself first. Maybe 20lbs to start? Idk I just exercised for 15 minutes by dancing to songs I listened to when I was younger...it was very freeing! What have you started to do? The hardest part for me is food and gettin my lazy butt up and moving...10

I have a lot more than 100 to lose but doing it 1 step at a time. For me, I need to lose some weight before I try and add exercise just by strictly logging food/diet. I'm new though, just started seriously this week.11

I strated back 2 weeks ago I really lost about 50 pounds over the course of the year but I can definitely lose a hundred more5

I started on my own diet program 2 weeks ago. I got to the point of a weight i never wanted to reach. I saw a surgeon and he wont operate tiII I lose a substantial amount of weight. So far I have lost 14# i need to lose 136# more to be at the weight i want. If I can do this without surgery that would be better for me. I don't really have a support system so I thought coming on here would be supportive.12

I want to lose 100+ pounds as well. But for me that seems too daunting to focus on. So what's helped me is setting 20 lb weight goal increments. Makes it feel more doable and keeps me motivated6

Hi everyone! Great to see such a response!! So far I have just been limited processed foods, hitting 5 fruits and veggies a day and sticking to my calorie range. I will add in exercise soon. I am doing a biggest loser contest at work, which helped spark my motivation. My coworkers are a huge motivation. We check in with each other throughout the day to see what we're eating and get ideas.8

Hi all! I am 52, struggled with weight since about 17 and started in Jan/Feb once again with trying. I now have a grand daughter and sure as heck want to be around her for and my daughter as long as possible. Additionally, Type 2 diabetic, which I have stabilized enough that the doc let me lower my orals another 500 mgs last visit. But I am definitely in need of losing 75 - 100 lbs. Since I've started, I've lost 15 and struggling the past few weeks again. Jenny - I have to tell you, we did the Biggest Loser thing (with dues for a prize for biggest loser at the end) a few years ago and the young lady who won at the end, has since lost even more, looks amazing, feels wonderful - we are all very proud of her. It is a great motivator. Although I have since fluctuated again, it did get me seriously thinking about my health and eating habits and if at first you don't succeed, try, try again - until it takes I wish everyone here the best and look forward to sharing journey - if you don't mind and older person in the mix. LOL7

Hi all, I'm in the same boat as most of you! I'm 25 and have quite a lot of weight to lose. Diet starting today. Taking baby steps - it's a whole lifestyle change but one that will hopefully change my life for the better. Would love to add all of you, I'm looking for similar people to myself to support each other x4

Hi there I have 62 more lbs not quite 100 but I know how hard it is to lose then gain again. If I reach my goal of 150 I'll have lost 90. This app has helped a lot and of course exercising. Good luck you can do it and feel free to add me.3

The struggle is real. I am being trying to lose weight for months now and my weight keeps fluctuating. It's really depressing but I'm learning that I need to take it one step at a time and focus on the small changes to my body. I have about 90lbs more to lose. We can do this guy's don't give up5

Hi everyone. I have about 200 pounds to lose, but my first goal is to get back under 300. I'm a 38 year old mon to 3, pastor's wife, and teacher. I also have fibromyalgia, which makes activity very hard. My daughter is 10 years old, about 5 feet, and weighs 170 pounds. I have to change our entire family's eating habits and I have to be a better example for her. I don't want her to ever get to my weight! I have to do this for both of us!!7

Hi! I started out with 90 to lose 10 years ago. I lost it all (through really unhealthy means) and put 80 of it back on after a few years (20 in the last 6 months). I have 74 to lose. Not quite 100, but after having a kid, getting divorced, and signing up to work nights, it feels like it sometimes.1

Need support too, please add me. So discouraged, and lonely6

There is a group you can join which has a lot of people in the same situation. One big positive about the group is they are supportive and you don't get a lot of negative or condescending posts to questions or problems. It's a group that all have 100 lbs or more to lose.

I would love to have some friends for support! I'm newly single and trying to maintain my confidence while dating. I'm also a single mom and want to make sure my girl never has to go through the unhealthy struggle. According to BMI I need to lose more than 100 lbs but I'm starting with a solid 20 and working to where I am comfortable with me health wise.5

You can absolutely do it without surgery and it will be so much better for your overall health to do it naturally. There are quite a few on these forums who have had triple digit weight losses only by CICO. You might want to check out Shanelynch1972. He lost over 192 pounds since last year only by usimg this app and walking. With z lityle organization on your part and diligence and patience you will totally get there. All the best.4 -
Hi, I also want to loose around 100 pounds. I am not too sure on how to break down my long term weight loss goal into smaller goals and what time limit I should place on myself. From today onwards I want to be more active on MFP. Feel free to add me2

I have about 140 to lose and am revved up to go. I am excited about the plans and goals I have made. My goals aren't all weight loss or fitness related. Some of them are things like moisturize every day to take care of the health of my skin, and video every day (which I am starting tonight with a video journal). The videoing I am doing is partly because my son wants to create YouTube videos so I need to learn techniques and how to edit.
I hope you are having an awesome day and if not, I hope it becomes awesome!2 -
Hi everyone....I've got just over 100lbs to lose too. I've lost 2.7kg (about 5lbs) in the last 4 weeks and I'm just focusing on my weekly target of 0.5lb loss a week at the moment, as the overall number is too big to think about.
I want to take it slow and steady as I've tried so many times to lose weight, but I try to do too much too soon and end up giving in. I've got a good group of friends on here so far who are so supportive, and I'm always happy to have more so anyone else can feel free to add me
Good luck to everyone. We've all got a lot of work ahead of us, but it can be made so much more fun doing it together!1 -
Hey all. I'm 26, and have 110 to lose. I need all the motivation and support I can get, as I don't have much in my personal life. Feel free to add me! Right now I'm getting a solid habit of tracking my intake (calories) and walking as much as I can, going to start an exercise program at home in May0

lost 30lbs initially, have a 100 more to go. I'm going to go in 20lb increments because it's less depressing and daunting lol. I count calories and have been doing martial arts twice a week for about 2 years now. I don't think it burns a huge amount of calories because it's not cardio intensive but It helps me manage my stress so I don't turn to food when I feel angry/sad/frustrated. Also I'm pretty confident I can kick someones *kitten* right now if I needed to, or at least give them a run for their money. Finding something you love to do that requires even a small amount of movement like walks in a park, or swimming, or yoga on youtube makes a world of difference.0

Yea I'm in feel free to add me everyone0

Hi there! I'm Stacey, 26 years old and around 270 pounds. My scales broken so I haven't checked my weight well since last year since I have failed to get a new scale but am looking to finally purchase one. I used to be really active on this site, but it was really hard to be good at eating without a kitchen. But I'm finally working around it. I'm a waitress by night and well I am tired by day. Right now in trying to be up by 9am and once I start getting better at that I want to start working out again.
It's nice to meet someone who has the same goal and is the same age as me! So hi there!!0 -
I have 85 to lose total, so not quite 100, but it's still a daunting number! I've already lost 29, so just gotta keep at it.
I just signed up for my very first 5K race in Disney World in January and I want to be fit when I arrive!
If any of you would like to add me, feel free!1 -
Hello. I have around 90/95lbs to lose, so not far off 100. I'm also looking for new friends on here and motivation, so please add me if you would like!
I am here once again, trying something new on MFP for the 3rd or 4th time, as I lose weight, then gain it all back again, booooo!!!
Soo, this time I am trying something a little different.....I am cutting out sugar, (added). I still have fruit and dairy, the very (and I do mean very) occasional sweet thing here or there, but generally if something has any type of sugar listed as an ingredient, I'm not eating it. I roughly look at the calories, but Im not
counting them as such. I eat when I'm hungry, and as long as it's not got added sugar I am eating what I want. We shall see how this approach goes regarding weight loss, the sugar cravings are definitely settling down, which is nice!!

Hey, everyone! I have over 100lbs to lose. Started working hard at it this month (April), and have just knocked away my 20th pound! Feel free to add me! I love fitness friends!3

I've lost 138 lbs in 23 months with about 15 left to goal. Current age 61. My main advice is to focus on small goals and take small steps. My other advice is to exercise, whatever you can do, and strength train so you'll have the body you want or close, when you are done. It is not an easy journey but it is doable & is worth it. Take it one day at a time and know WHY you want this.10

Hi! I'm 33 and have about 110lbs to lose. I've always struggled with my weight because of emotional eating and lower back issues that restrict my movement but always just brushed it off because I didn't see myself as an overweight girl. However, I recently learned from my doctor that I fall in the weight category that qualifies for weight loss surgery. Once I heard that I had a wholly *kitten* I need to change moment but the idea of losing 110lbs is very overwhelming that it drives to me seek comfort in food. I don't really have many people to talk to you about this...doesn't help that all my friends/co-workers and about 90% of my family have metabolisms that would make a fitness model jealous it's been hard trying to find support.
But with all that self-pity aside I'm still pushing myself so if you need some support I'm here for you6
