Products for firmer skin?

So, I've lost 28kg / almost 62lbs in a bit more than a year... Being 37 years old, I'm considering myself pretty fortunate to not have huge problems with loose skin. However, what's bugging me is the skin on my neck
It's really soft and feels kind of loose, and if I turn my head in a certain way it looks kind of wrinkly. I know time will heal some of it, it's been through a lot after all, but has anyone used any firming creams with success? I like to take care of my skin and always apply my facial moisturizer also on my neck, but I was just wondering if there would be something a bit more potent, tried and tested stuff.

I asked my dermatolgist about over the counter collagen type creams.. he basically said that if any of them worked, cosmetic surgery would be far less popular and expensive. The laser is very spendy, but its about the only thing that works. He said this while trying to talk me out of getting laser surgery or skin pen for my stretch marks so he wasnt upselling IMO. YMMV

Don't waste your money on creams, they don't work. The skin you describe may not entirely firm up on its own as its not all due to weight, age and sun exposure are factors as well. There are treatments that you can have done at the dermatologist's office that will help, they run between $200 - $300 and you usually will need 2 - 6 of them for maximum results. I also recommend always wear sun block on that area when you go out, even if you're just in the car, as sunlight will only worsen the issue. I wish you the best...I have the same problem and absolutely hate it lol. I'm waiting to lose a few more pounds before doing any procedures.

I use Retin-A, which seems to be the only thing that's proven to actually work for anti-aging (as opposed to improving 'the appearance of' wrinkles as used in advertising). Although I've noticed really nice improvements on my facial skin after using it for 6 months, I can't say it's improved my crepe-y neck much yet, but I'm still hopeful!

It's prescription only but available over the counter in Mexico, so I pick some up when I'm there, or get someone to buy it for me.

I'm about to get my second session of laser treatment for my stretch marks. I actually noticed a small difference in lose skin after my first treatment.

Retin-A is great, I use it in rotation a few months on, a few months off. I'll combine it with Hydroquinone as well. Be careful buying it OTC as it comes in different strengths. I've been using it off and on for years and haven't found it to do anything for crepe skin. I do the dermatologist treatments for that, only thing I've found that works. Sometimes they run specials, and if you buy a couple of sessions at one time they'll further reduce the price. I think creams do t work for that issue as its actually not a superficial problem, you hve to target deeper layers of the skin. I know when I lost my weight it was like someone let all the air out of my face, and it's taken a couple years of treatments to get it back to baseline.

Try Decleor Prolagene Gel - expensive but you can mix it with body lotions etc. Was originally used for a burns unit, and they noticed some remarkable healing properties, but also firmer skin. Yes it will be cosmetic, and stopping using it will mean you go back to the way you were, but it's a nice way to make your skin feel firmer on a daily basis. You can use it all over face neck and body.

It actually works great on smoothing skin, scars and stretch marks. And yes, the smell is delish!
