Move to the West coast. We're pretty much bugless out here.

The extra protein is just an added bonus to riding a bike.

Make sure you log it - house fly is in the food database.

It may be where & when you ride. Here in Nebraska, the trails through the trees will get you a lot more bonks on the face from bugs than the urban trails or city streets. And if you're riding at dusk or after dark, count on double.

It just comes with the territory...wear some shades. And yeah...you haven't lived until you've had a bee stuck in your helmet.

    That's awesome.

I'm in Houston and ride along the bayou. I have a big issue with swarms of nats, especially at dawn. I wear my glasses when riding and resort to vigorous head shaking when necessary. LOL

I am planning to get clear or light yellow sunglasses just as eye protection. I get them flying into my eyeballs at dusk a lot and it's awful. No much you can do about getting hit in the rest of your face!

A true biker can identify bugs by both texture and taste.

Sorry, can't really help much with bugs big enough to hurt...you must have some seriously hefty flies in your neck of the wood -- glad I only have to deal with the little'uns.

For dust and the little suckers, sunglasses or clear safety glasses (depending on lighting).
