What do you guys l think about veganism and the high carb vegan lifestyle. My boyfriend thinks it's ridiculous and that her idea is a little off but honestly I am liking it more and more.

Your boyfriend is right. She's a fruit loop.20

She is an utter whackadoodle and I'm ashamed to share a nationality with her.13
-
She is dishonest8

You're carrying a life inside of you, don't go starting on nonsense fad diets that are nutritionally unbalanced and unsafe. Your boyfriend is correct, it is ridiculous. Take care of your health and your baby's health.17

She and Durianrider have serious issues.6

Please, please, please discuss this with your Doctor if you are considering doing this, especially considering you are pregnant and admittedly anorexic prior to getting pregnant.

Google: how much does freelee the banana girl earn (by telling you to do ridiculous things).
Cliff's notes version: she's making millions telling people to do ridiculous things that have NO BASIS IN REALITY. Don't fall for it. And if you're pregnant: STOP EVERYTHING YOU ARE DOING. Talk to your doc. HONESTLY. And do what they say.7 -
I read the 80/10/10 book and while it might have worked for the writer and his inner circle of friends as a lifestyle, it is completely unfounded on any nutritional science. It completely disregards a healthful intake of sugar content as well. If you are looking for something similar based on some substantial evidence I would look into Dr. McDougall. The only reason 80/10/10 is catching on is because Instagram works just like advertising to younger people.2

do the opposite of everything she says. she is in my opinion a clinical psychopath and or sociopath.8

I try not to judge people too harshly but I thought someone would say that. I was hoping to see the best in freelee. For the longest I thought she was the big B word and I saw other people agreeing with her and many of the things growing thats why I though maybe she was somewhat credible.0 -
She's found a way to make a bunch of money promoting wacko bird theories to people who don't know any better.4

Her name makes me cringe and my blood boil. She's ... Awful.... But I do love the (fully) raw vegan diet and felt wonderful when I did it (almost 2 months on it) and plan to go back to it after this next week after the end of year parties.0

I see people agreeing with those claiming the moon landings are fake. Any idea, no matter how ridiculous, will have someone who believes in it, and not nearly as few people as you would think.
In terms of credibility she ranks somewhere between cult leader and crazy guy yelling at shadows.14 -

I was from the school of "carbs make you fat" paleo dogma until I started seeing her and other vegans on YouTube eating lots of carbs, not starving themselves, exercising, and having really lean and fit bodies and posting great blood test results. This was hard for me to ignore and good to know because I love me some carbs.
I'm not and won't go vegan, instead I'm now on a plant-based (95%) diet with about 75% carbs and 10% fat and I exercise. It's lowered my cholesterol back to normal, my last fasting blood glucose was 70mg/dl (normal is 65-99) and I've lost 34lbs and now in maintenance at 118 lbs. So it's definitely been good for me.
There's a lot of stuff she's said that I completely disagree with, but she's not wrong on the high-carb, low-fat, plant-based diet from a health and weight perspective. I don't bother with the eating raw only till a specific time, I think that's rubbish. I think she's also said cico is irrelevant, that you should just smash in the food, and that it takes years for your body to recover, all of which is rubbish.1 -
As people often say, beware of money. She may look great, but she makes money off looking great and selling that. If you follow her advice, you can look like her too! This means she has a vested interest in looking that way and making you believe you can too. It doesn't mean she is honest. She may or may not follow everything she says, but understanding that she is selling that idea has to make you wary about her advice. Also, her whole "look at me, it works!" Idea bugs me, because she fails to use the same logic about others who look just as good but eat differently. Lastly, she is a bully. She seems to love to knock other people down for views and money.

I 10000 percent think that veganism is fabulous. I do not think that Freelee speaks to the typical person and I feel like the raw til 4 concept is definitely not for most people. They bike ride hours a day (though they will often claim not to) and they do eat quite differently from raw til 4 now (from what I've noticed in recent videos - much more cooked food and not so much "smashing the calories in")
I think if you are interested in veganism that is wonderful! I would highly recommend seeking advice from professionals - Starch Solution by Dr McDougal, How Not to Die by Dr Greger, China Study by T Colin Campbell - now those are great sources of information!1 -

I HATE freelee with a passion. She's such a drama queen!

I'm vegan and to be honest I feel she gives vegans a bad name.
She's very extreme and a bit of a fruit loop in my opinion.
You're better off following a vegan diet with clean eating x4 -

Or just being a vegan who realizes that "clean" is a vague and not-very-useful description of food.3 -
i love her and i think its hilarious how much people hate her as you can see f rom this thread
veganisim is amazing and i am all for it however i do not follow raw till 4 because i love me my cooked food and dont want any restrictions put on my diet
freelee is cool and now i wanna see what *kitten* she is stirring recently3 -
Some people would do/say anything for publicity (and money), including misinformation, fact distortion, deliberate controversy and drama. Stay far far away. This is one whirlpool you don't want to get sucked into if you are pregnant. With a history of anorexia, the last thing you want is rigid food control rules. 10 foot pole, my friend... You're smarter than putting your baby's life in the hands of a money grab scheme.1
