Since you lost weight, do people think you are younger than you are?

I am 22 and a couple of years ago I lost 25-30 pounds (went from a 145 to 115-120). I am almost done University, however, people who do not know me that well always ask me "Oh what grade are you in?" or, if they know I am in university, they assume I am a first year and are shocked when I tell them I am in 4th year. It's funny because when I was like 13-14 (and weighed more than I do now) people would think I was older than I was. Anyone else with similar experiences after losing weight?

Yes, I got carded at a casino the other day...I'm 36. The woman was almost embarrassed that she asked for ID, she said she thought I was a lot younger. Just keepin' ya on your toes!

I think it's not only the weightloss, but also all the stressful crap I've shed from my life, stress is no friend to your face. Feel good inside and it'll show up outside.

I look older. The fat in my face used to puff out the wrinkles. Not any more.

Nope, like @Jruzer said, all my wrinkles are way more obvious now that they're empty of the fat.

Nope, I still look old... but I feel younger since losing the weight and that's a win.

I look younger. I'm also 36 and get carded all the time at the liquor store. I looked a bit older when I was heavier but I'm lucky to not have any wrinkles yet (good genes and religious use of sunscreen on my face for many years).

I was 60 last October, and now everyone tells me I look nowhere near that - just wish I felt younger LOL

Yup! I'm 44 and down 87 pounds since Jan '15, and just last week one of my neighbors said that I looked like I was 16. Granted, my grey hair was under a hat, but I took it as a compliment. My students also think I'm younger than I actually am.

I used to be under the mistaken notion that my fatness was making me look younger than I really was, since I felt that the fat kept any wrinkles from really showing, but that was just my own stubbornness and stupidity... and it made me very unhealthy to boot.

I think human nature equates being out of shape and overweight with being older. My experience is that when I'm at my good weight people think I am younger than they do now.

I look older to me (again with the wrinkles!), but I have been told I look younger. And I've been getting carded here and there. I'm 42.
