I started Keto to keep my type 2 diabetes in check. Weight loss is a side-effect of Keto. I have been on Keto for 6 weeks now and have lost 15 pounds. I have tried many different ways to keep my diabetes under control and nothing has really worked well, my 'normal' has always been a daily average blood glucose of around 200. That is until Keto, my blood glucose is now running between 75-125 daily, I am feeling great, have tons of energy, and my neuropathy [sp] is started to go away. I use myfitnesspal to track what I eat daily and to stay below my Carb limit. I live a sedentary lifestyle, as I am a programmer and spend a great deal of time sitting.

I do not like nuts in my diet much. Almonds are as far as I go. I prefer staying away unless really necessary (emergency unplanned snack.) dairy? I eat whey protein and casein, but outside of that I do not eat cheese, butter, or milk.

I do eat ghee a lot... Typically I eat grassfed stuff...
