Hi guys long story short. Had it 3 years. had injections, pain gone, likes to come back now and again. Boom finished.
Question. I love doing legs workouts problem is can't think what excerices to do which doesn't cause to cheese my nerve off its the same with back excerices.
Anyone have any suggestions on excerices. Cheers guys

i had sciatica for many years, i was in extreme constant pain. What helped me was learning to deadlift with perfect form , and developing a rock solid core. The deadlifting strengthening my back/core , and also taught me the proper way to bend over and pick something up, or carry things around without tweaking my back. they always say "lift with your legs" deadlifting teaches you that. and thats the # one cause of back tweaks, picking up things wrong.

Been trying to deadlift, gonna get a PT to check my form out cos it don't feel right. Also with core cause my hamstring is so tight due to my body trying to protect the nerve, if I'm trying to do core whilst lying down I have to bend my right leg so it doesn't cause me pain.. not saying every core excerise I lay down cos I don't

what is the cause of your sciatica? mine was from an injured bulging disc that i constantly reinjured and was always swollen and pushing on the nerve. It took a lot of bed rest to get the swelling down to a point where i could exercise pain free, and then being super careful not to reinjure. It was many years of dealing with feeling good and reaggrivating and that whole cycle year after year. Make sure your form is 100% perfect with everything you do. I know all about hamstring issues, mine used to cramp up any time i did anything. Its a long slow process get the strength to protect your back and core, but it does make it better at least it did for me.
