Figure out what your calorie expenditure is. Eat less than that. Either MFP, or a site like IIFYM.Com can help you with the calorie number. Get a food scale, log everything as accurately as you can. And try your best.0

I started at the same time. Right now, I'm always on the app b/c this community encourages me until I can form a solid habit. Use your diary. Try very hard to abide by it. And when you have an issue, open a forum so that people can encourage/motivate you. At least that's what happening for me & I'm VERY excited about that0
