High goals & Book of John verse 3:16 helps with diet and weight control

In 2008, after tipping the scales a bit over 200 lbs. I successfully lost and maintained a 50 lb weight loss. Took about 6 months and I set my goal pretty high. I entered a chance to run the NYC marathon in 2009 and after 3 tries, they had to let me in. So, 2014, I did it and got my medal and was at an all time high. Fast forward, set no goals after the big race and in 2 years, gained 22 lbs. I was still eating the same amount of food as if I was running a marathon. As of May 16th, 2016, I am back on track counting calories and in 4 days went from 172 to 167 lbs. Walking 3 miles on treadmill a day and an active job helps a lot. Thinking about reentering the biggest race in the world. Life on Earth is short and spinning fast. Never give up. At 52 yrs old, learned the hard way but will never give up again until my death. Even then, I will never give up and I will run with joy to meet my number one fan, sweet Jesus. Hoping all who read this much success.

Well done on losing the weight. However this down to your caloric deficit and not Jesus.9

That's great to hear!
I think she's referring more so to other factors (motivation, determination, and knowing that she is doing the right thing). I think that's where the Bible reference came in, as that helped her mentally and emotionally.trigden1991 wrote: »However this down to your caloric deficit and not Jesus.

There's a joke about protein intake to be made here, but probably better not.1 -

Absolutely right. Not meant to offend anyone, just my way of making it. Never one to hide my weight, age or faith. Much success to all.
