How do YOU drink 8 glasses of water a day?

I love water. I prefer it to any other drink.....when I'm eating carbs and salty snacks. I find while I am eating healthy, I dont' crave it as much...and find it difficult to drink 3 glasses a day much less 8. So my fitness guru's or just fellow dieters ....how do you drink 8 glasses? or better yet...how can I spark up my water?
thanks everyone

I bought a 32 OZ cup that I fill up at least 3 times a day and I sip it all day long at work. Just drink water and when you think you can't drink anymore, drink some more.3

Thanks Sahbarr....maybe a fancy cup? LOL I can do this!1

I drink a gallon but I'm extremely active and more muscle mass means you need more water. At first, you need to make yourself but then afterward, your body is used to it and you're like huh..I'm craving/needing more water now. I buy those cheap gallon jugs of water like a friggin bro lol but that lets me know exactly how much I drink throughout the day and it's easier to visualize drinking one big container than making sure you drink a bunch of cups.5

I carry water bottles everywhere , then just sip it through out the day
You can get bottles with marked times of the day2 -
I drink soda or tea and eat food that contains water in it. EDIT: every once in a while I get up from my chair at work and take a drink from the water fountain, but that is only if I'm thirsty and don't have any other drinks available.2

I use a 16 ounce cup (so I only have to get through 4 which somehow feels like less!). I drink one before breakfast since I'm usually thirsty upon waking. Then i drink two more over the 8 hours I'm at work, and only have to drink one more between getting home and going to bed. As you say, I rarely drink anything else, so it works for me.
The bonus is, I am usually getting up from my desk every hour to go to the restroom, so it gives me a walk-around break often rather than sitting on my bottom all day.2 -
It doesn't just have to be water. I drink 1 litre of water a day, and a few herbal teas, a smoothie that I add water to and fruits & veg which also contain water, what I'm saying is though, you don't have to just drink plain old water. Maybe try adding a squeeze of lemon or lime to water.1

i sip all day, but sometimes i'm not in the mood for plain water. then i have ice cold pellegrino or another fizzy mineral water or i have hot or cold herb tea sweetened with stevia.0

I'm kind of like you in that I don't like drinking when I'm not eating. The good news is I try to eat 6x a day and try to drink at least 1.5 cups of water at each meal. I also admit to sometimes adding hot sauce to my food in order to make myself drink more. Or, a little touch of peanut butter or something to trigger the thirst.0

I have water with my constantly. I'm sitting here with my morning coffee and there's a glass of water next to it. It's just become a habit. Water in the car, water wherever I am, drink drink drink.1

Not everyone has to consume 8 cups of water daily, some need more; others less & don't forget to count, the water in your cooking as well; as part of those 8 cups or more/less. If it's a struggle to consume, 8 cups of water daily for you; then you possibly shouldn't even try because your body, is most likely receiving enough. Too much water is poisonous, can cause your brain to swell & you can die. Remember too much and/or little of anything/everything positive, is always negative.1

Ive been wondering this too! I got up to 6 but then it started making me nauseous to drink more so I had to back it off.
but I see many of you count other drinks as well? I thought only pure water counted..
I keep water with me all the time too and try to remeber to down a a glass before meals , usualy as I start too cook.0 -
I fill up my 32 oz bottle at work 2-3 times a day then have a 21 oz bottle at home that I sip from all night too. It's really hard on the weekends to drink enough and a lot of times by Sunday afternoon/Monday morning I feel a little dehydrated. Well.....all the weekend beer contributes to that a bit too, lol.1

I really just make sure that I remain reasonably hydrated.
I very seldom drink water2 -
I dont3

Water in the food that you cook, counts as well; such as: soup & the nauseousness, was most likely a sign; of water poisoning.1 -
Just buy very very very small glasses3
-
I don't! Hah. I drink when I'm thirsty. There is really no backing to the 8-glasses-of-water thing, and is not necessary7

With a straw. (Somebody had to)
Water is what I drink so when I don't, I get dehydrated. Remember you don't need to drink water to be hydrated.3 -
As I work from home I simply have a jug (approx 10 glasses worth) which I fill in the morning and work my way through during the day. The first couple of weeks took some effort (toilet breaks(!) but these soon reduced) but now it's just the norm. I known I'm feeling the benefits and it really does also reduce the tendency to snack. Stick with it, it's worth it.2

2 years ago when I started my weight loss journey I never drank water. I really just couldn't stand plain water, now its the only thing I drink besides coffee. I knew I needed to start drinking it so I bought a cute stainless steel insulated water bottle on amazon:
http://www.amazon.com/Under-Armour-Beyond-Vacuum-Insulated/dp/B00HQWT4M0/ref=pd_sim_79_3?ie=UTF8&dpID=31iAcZPZ77L&dpSrc=sims&preST=_AC_UL160_SR160,160_&refRID=0YQEK9RVPFY45P38CCRC
It goes with me everywhere I go, and since I eat so frequently I just fill it up with every meal and snack throughout the day. I learned that I prefer room temperature water so I can chug the whole bottle down at once. Cold water took too long to sip. So basically I eat, then chug. Been doing that for so long now that I can't imagine not drinking my water! I usually end up about 110 oz per day plus coffee.1 -
I got a cute Contigo water bottle that fits 1.5 bottles of water. I try to drink 3-4 full a day.
Mio and Crystal Light are really delicious and give your water variety . Today I've got watermelon strawberry, and blue raspberry.0 -

thanks for the info, oh gee so , yeah I wasnt counting all that because I read other liquids counted more as food . Since there is a separate drinks section on MFP from the water tally , Ive been counting them separately. good thing I backed off! I'll have to take a look back at my diary and see how much liquids in general I was actualy consuming. it seemed like I was peeing way too much! haha0 -
I don't think we really need to drink that much water but... I always have a cup or water bottle with me at work and like to drink throughout the day. Just start the habit and you'll increase the amount you drink.0

I drink sparkling water... Here in Belgium it is plentiful and not expensive... A thought if you take a 1/2 liter bottle and fill it 3 times and you have passed the mark.

I was given very good advice to try and drink a gallon a day. It was initially difficult because although I drink a ton of water I did not monitor how much - at work I would get busy and forget. I bought a 32 oz bottle and set reminders at intervals where I thought I should be at least down one bottle, if I wasn't finished I would chug it. It almost took some training but now I drink minimal a gallon - more if I am working out. It has made a huge difference (my skin, my weight loss, my headaches). It took time for my body to adjust (lots of peeing) now I don't go anymore than normal, and I find I crave the water if I am a bit slower in my intake than normal.2

I drink 1 cup coffee and at least 3 cups unsweetened herbal tea. The rest of the water is at meals.0
