Bench press with dumbbells

So yesterday was my first day bench pressing with Dumbbells! Today I am mainly sore in my armpit area (lol?) and a little in my chest! Not sore in my arms at all. Did I not do it correctly?

    Sounds like you're sore in the right places to me. Bench press targets chest muscles.

    I prefer dumbbell press, I get more of a Workout on it then if I did barbell press

    It's supposed to target your chest area, not your arms.

    Dumbbell press allows you to go lower on your negative. Which gives you a better muscle stretch.
