    We have a lot of those here in Cali' though funny enough... there was one near my neighborhood... & it didn't really take... maybe the umm coffee wasn't that good... lol

    there used to be one in Salem, I used to go to it - was on my way to work and most of the girls recognized my Tahoe and would have my drink ready by the time I got to the window. worked for me!! but it closed, someone got offended I'm sure, one thing about Salem....lots of churches and lots of protests!! man, I miss cali!!!!

    I am north of seatte in snohomish, and on my way to work there is a coffee joint that has a sign that says "we sell pastries not pasties." lol I thought it was funny!

    It must be a Washington thing I'm scared to go to a new espresso place for fear that they'll be wearing bikinis. I'm definitely not homophobic, but I don't want them to think I'm some perv..

    I honestly don't have a problem with it. My friend is a bikini barista and she makes at least $70 a day in tips. If you have the body I say go for it, I know I would.

    If it's a matter of $70 a day in tips serving coffee, or several hundred a night in tips workin' a pole... I'd just as soon be a "dancer."

    I definitely agree. I think dancing may be a little more fun too. at least you're not on your feet all day ;) hahaha

    Pole dancing is a hell of a workout as well. You should see the abs on my old pole dance instructor.

    As for the bikini baristas, I can't see it taking off in the UK (we're far too repressed, what what) but eh, as long as no one co-erced the girls into doing it and they enjoy it, more power to 'em.

    Hahahaha the dental clinic I worked at in CO had one open in our shopping center it was drive through and the opening month they had the girls on the street out front holding signs advertising it in their bikinis (they could wear a cropped sweater and shorts/bikini bottom is it was snowing and lovely UGG style boots) They caused SOOOO many accidents the police had to stop allowing the girls to do that! But Colorado Springs also has 5 military installations so they did some pretty brisk business!

    My wife would have to admit, I'm probably the world's biggest MALE LESBIAN. She's told me a number of times when she is bringing me a cup of coffee at my workdesk to leave her bottom alone...I can't help it. Its in my blood, its not a choice but I am now hardwired to enjoy the vision of my wife bringing me coffee in a bikini...

    Now for the bikini coffee shops...not really looking at paying 5 bucks for a cup of mediocre coffee made by a girl the age of one of my nieces who is more interested in the tip she might get on top of the original $5 cup of coffee.

    Hell, I still complain if the coffee in the diner is more than 75 cents and doesn't offer free refills with the breakfast plate. And do they offer a senior citizen card for a free small coffee on the 5th purchase?

    Never seen one here, although I recently read about some near my school -- never heard of them before that article though. Bikini bars don't appeal to me AT ALL. Noting I have a HUGE thing for Maid cafes, you would think it would appeal to me though :laugh:

    Bikini bar sounds like Hooters to me, only more extreme. Seems like it could get loud/wild...I prefer sweet/cute atmospheres lol.

    They have them in Kent. I'm a old lady and young girls in bikinis serving me coffee just doesn't do anything for me. :laugh:

    We have quite a few "Bikini Barista" coffee drive thru's in the Pacific NorthWest. Never been through one, but occassionally I see something on the news about them. Some group or another has their panties in a bunch and wants to shut them down.

    Although I haven't been to one, I have no problem with them. I suppose I would rather buy a $5 cup of coffee from a cute girl in a bikini than stand in in a long line and pay $5 for a cup of coffee from some snotty yuppie in a Starbucks.

    Live and let live.

    As for the women who aren't getting the tittilation they want, come on over. I'll put on my new panties and brew us up a pot. No charge and no tipping required.

    i work as a waitress/barista there is no way in hell id be carry hot coffee in a bikini im clumbsy (not to mention coffee sales would go way down )

    us wonderful coffee makers and you guess is as good as mine , i like my coffee in little artsy places reading a good book ... i dont need some skinny girl getting her boobs in my face while i drink my coffee

    Honestly if they had a place called Schlongs...I might go but the male genitalia is not so nice looking but a smooth chested guy would be a nice draw for me!

    Hahaha. I hate hooters. (The restaurant, not the boobies) Hooters has Mediocre service, crap food, and is WAY overpriced.

    And the $5 coffee is for like a latte or something, it costs about the same no matter if you go to Starbucks, Tullys, Peets, or a Bikini stand, usually.
