Be careful. Maybe it will work for you, but it set me up for failure. I went low carb for a few months and lost the weight.. before I knew it I started getting uncontrollable cravings which then forced me into a very unhealthy binge, restrict, and repeat cycle. Now I not only have to lose the weight (plus extra) again, but I also have to recreate a healthy relationship with food..

If you don't mind me asking, how are you creating a healthy relationship with food, I find that I crave bread so much after I don't have it for a long time, so I feel you.

I have been doing low carb for over 15 years. I don't crave junk foods and high carbs if I keep my carbs to a certain number that works for my body. My labs are the best they've ever been. I guess it's whatever works for each.

I am not criticizing. I've been dieting all my adult life and watching my carbs not only keeps my weight down but also my hypoglycemia is totally under control, and my lab numbers within normal limits. Also... I don't ever crave bread or any high carb foods, such as bread, pasta, ice cream, cake "because I really am watching" my daily carb numbers. Even if it's only 1 carb, it adds up. I never eat bread and I don't miss it while doing this low carb lifestyle. When I wasn't eating right I've had bread and headaches seem to come on. So, just my assumption from "my" own years of experience, you were still eating to many carbs in your diet which causes cravings. In the end, it's whatever works for you. If your keeping your weight off and to your goal, and healthy, then your diet is better, for you. Wish you the best. No one likes fighting the weight.
