Swollen and Bruised! Advice needed please :)

Hi!
I've googled this a little bit and got mixed responses, so I wanted to see what some people had to say on here since a lot of people train hard, I was hoping I could get a personalized opinion.
I fell down some concrete stairs on Sunday and my shin is bruised to heck and back, hurts to walk on (not unbearably- just uncomfortably), and is swollen.
As far as exercising, I'd assume anything high intensity (running, elliptical, stairs, aerobics, etc) isn't a good idea, but even bending it to ride a bike feels uncomfortable. Also, I heard strength training isn't good for it either because its putting more weight on it.
Suggestions?
Is rest my best option at this point?

You are injured. Rest, Ice, heat....0

Rest up. If you further injure yourself, you'll have even further to go. I'd ice it for 2-3 days, take some anti-inflammatories, and hit it again when you're feeling closer to 80%...1
