When warming up and cooling down for an exercise do you count that time toward the actual exercise or just the peak exercise?

It's exercise. Whether you're elevating your heart rate or bringing it down :laugh:0

If you are using a heart rate monitor I would count both as you definitely continue burning calories when cooling down and stretching. If you are using MFP estimates I would just count the time you are doing peak exercise as MFP tends to overestimate calories burned.0

On MFP calorie estimates....since this did not quote what I wanted lol....
Perhaps those who are at a lower weight find this?
For me, compared to what the machines at the gym say, I find the opposite to be true.

I count ANYTHING outside of my normal life routine. I walk 15 minutes to get to the gym, then 15 minutes back. I log 30 minutes of walking 3.0 mph every time I go to the gym, because it's extra calories burned, so yeah, warm ups and all, put it in there. :-)0
