I find that my workout mix is corny and somewhat embarassing. :) What are your favorite workout songs? What is the most embarassing song on your working playlist?

I don't know they are not really embarrassing. I love to work out to Megadeth and Motley Crue. When Live wire comes on by the Crue I want to go crazy and start breaking *kitten*. LOL For Megadeth when I hear Hangar 18 or Go to Hell, I lose my *kitten*. I start singing along, so I guess that is what makes it embarrassing. Working hard and headbanging but I am in the military so my hair is real short so I am phantom headbanging lol. This is why I like to work out alone lol

lol. Too funny! Sounds like my husband. He likes to listen to that type of music when he is working in the yard. Sometimes he sings so loud that the kids and I are worried the neighbors are going to hear him. Thank goodness we all have pretty big yards. Hopefully sound doesn't travel too far. :p

I have several Ellie Goulding songs on mine. Most of hers are upbeat and pretty electronic so quite fast. I have some Guns N Roses on there too and some Linkin Park.

Pink... Pretty much everything she sings is upbeat and easy to work out to. Most embarrassing is Play that funky music white boy and Milkshake by Kelis. My daughter rolls her eyes while I'm singing out loud... I'm pretty sure that is the only workout she ever gets.

My favorite is I lived by One Republic. That song gives me goosebumps.

I also have both pitch perfect soundtracks, Taylor swift, and Megan Trainor on my workout playlist :)

I teach cycling classes so I've made an effort to add a variety of music into my setlists because I feel like my participants will get bored with all the metal I listen to. Of these, probably the ones most outside my normal are "Sugar We're Going Down" by Fall Out Boy (it's just sooo perfect for so many things!) and "Bulletproof" by La Roux.

Otherwise, I've kinda got a reputation of being the one instructor with the angsty music at my gym, lol

I like David Guetta's beats and some LMFAO. Ellie Goulding, Calvin Harris. In Australia every season they release a CD called "Hits of Autumn" or Summer or whatever. 7/10 songs are really good for the latest hits and they generally have a good rhythm for a power walk.

Good lord, I love this thread. It has caused me delve into my unused iTunes music and there are just too many goodies not to add to a brand new playlist. Now I can't wait to run tomorrow. Effiel 65, anyone?

Celldweller's "Good Luck" is currently my favorite song. Just the right balance of rage and absurdity.

As for mix, it depends on how good or bad my day's been. Techno-ish pop when I'm neutral (David Guetta, Gigi D'Agostino, lots of 80s), in a bad mood lots of metal and Eminem, and in a good mood more fun, upbeat stuff like Hedley and Spice Girls.

Anything from Ministry or Tool if I am doing something strenuous. Radiohead if I am doing cardio (walking or stationary bike)
