The Minority Report Movie

In the same line as the tattoo one (since you guys thought it doesn't actually happen, or could never happen to you).
In Chicago, police officers are currently using an algorithm to determine a persons likelihood of committing a crime. Those determined by the algorithm as having a high likelihood based on their associations, get a knock on the door from police, and threatened. "We're watching you."
The minority report: Chicago's new police computer predicts crimes, but is it racist?

"When the Chicago Police Department sent one of its commanders to Robert McDaniel’s home last summer, the 22-year-old high school dropout was surprised. Though he lived in a neighborhood well-known for bloodshed on its streets, he hadn’t committed a crime or interacted with a police officer recently. And he didn’t have a violent criminal record, nor any gun violations. In August, he incredulously told the Chicago Tribune, "I haven't done nothing that the next kid growing up hadn't done.” Yet, there stood the female police commander at his front door with a stern message: if you commit any crimes, there will be major consequences. We’re watching you.
What McDaniel didn’t know was that he had been placed on the city’s “heat list”"

You are right. I am paranoid, because I worked in big data, and I saw what you don't see.
You have zero clue as to what I do or do not want to see. You have zero clue as to what I do or do not know. In short, you have zero clue.2 -

give us an example of something verifiable then? beyond that if you are so afraid of being tracked and what not then why even maintain an online presence here or anywhere? if someone was looking for you then you've already given yourself away by stating that you used to work in big data.
doesn't compute.
I am not afraid of being tracked. We are ALL being tracked. People who have zero internet presence are being tracked online because they have a driver's license, or bank, or see a doctor. There are so many parties involved in providing these services that it would make your head spin how many people have combed over your personal info, which is why so many people's credit cards have been hacked.
With biometrics, precogs, and other highly intrusive uses of technology, we allow companies to whittle away our freedoms bit by bit because we make no noise at any time to any intrusive thing. The attitude is a mindless, so what? Instead of understanding that each inch leads to another, and they've already taken a mile.
Precogs, huh?1 -

Thats essentially what criminal justice has been like for a while now....If you think about it, if you have a nice neighborhood or at least decent how often do you see police? Almost never. In areas they consider "highrisk" you see police officers there constantly whether its something going on or not...Which brings up what people talk about most in relation to crime disproportionate minority contact..... Maybe crime rates arent high in those cushy neighborhoods but doesnt mean that crime doesnt happen there. Crimes arent usually discovered there because they are not looking for them? That make sense? Hope so lol0

Actually....
Microsoft put out an AI chat bot that turned racist within a day, because it learns from humans, and humans decided to make racist comments to it and it responded in kind. By the end of the day, the thing was supporting genocide.

Actually, that's the programming, ie the human involvement. The computer is not racist. The computer has no concept of race.1 -

Yeah....that computer is racist, cant believe i didnt notice. Has my toaster been racially abusing me all this time by only popping out little brown bread babies?
In short, you just posted something completely irrelevant.1 -

Which is precisely what allowed it to spew racist comments. Because it has no view on race, it does not refute or block racist content. Content nuetral algorithms produce the mess, and content nuetral algorithms is what they used to profile the innocent man quoted in the original article.
How can they use a content neutral algorithm to profile anyone? the data they use to profile the individual means it isnt content neutral.2
