Hey! I thought 40 was the new 20! You're crushing my dream But you're right, it is just a tad harder when you're in your 40's, but not impossible. You can do it!0

There is a 74 year old woman at my gym who can out run half the members and doesn't have an ounce of body fat on her. Plus, she is happy all the time because she isn't using a walker and stuck sitting around the house all the time. I am 44 and she is my inspiration!!!0

I KNOW you can do it! I'll be 40 in October & just last night a guy thought I was 28!!! Yes 28!! He is my new best friend! :laugh:0

You can so do this.... I will be 40 in September, Although I lost a but too much weight (not intentionally) I got to goal, doing well fitness wise, but vacation and traveling made it hard so I did not eat enough... anyway...... I lost over 35 lbs and went from squishy to tone and firm, it just takes commitment and willingness to jeep on going. Soooo get going and do it!!!! Woot!!!!0

I'm 43 and determined to be in the best shape of my life by 44! We just have to stay active and eat in a reasonable way - it's just not that hard. And the benefits are huge. Life is an adventure, and I want to be able to live it well for a long time. :happy:0

This made me crack up in a great way and I'm glad I'm not the only one.
From age 30-35, my motto was 30 is the new 20. As 36 approached, I got to thinking that 40 would be here soon and if 40 is the new 30, then I want to tighten up now. Good luck on your journey!0 -
You can do it! I started running at the ripe old age of 46. Now at 48, I run 1/2 marathons for kicks and giggles.
Never too late.0 -
I'll be 42 this December and I am just about to my goal weight and looking good!!!! LOL Tummy is disappearing and everything! I haven't looked this good since I was in my 20's, before my daughter was born and she just turned 12!! IT IS POSSIBLE!!! YOU CAN DO IT!0

I'm 42 and weigh as much as I did in high school but am in better shape!! I lost a little too much weight, and now am back to a weight that allows my face to be a little fuller (and my boobs came back  ). I think after 40 you have to be careful of having too thin of a face, because I think it makes you look older (at least on me it did). I was actually scared to put it back on, but because of all of the yoga I do, my pants still fit exactly the same, which is my best gauge of how I look! Here's :drinker: to being glorious in our 40's(or 30's)!!! Look at Halle Berry, Julie Roberts, Selma Hayek (WOW!!)...all are in their 40's!! And, Michelle Pfieffer and Julianna Moore are in their 50's! (I think Iman might even be in her early 60's or late 50's.:noway:0

Oh, and I have 3 kids and a flat tummy (some loose skin and stretch marks...but I am ok enough to still wear a 2 piece bathing suit!). So it can be done...I promise!0

TOTALLY! I'm 42 and am making GREAT progress toward being better than I was in my 20s! But... yeah... it's harder work, and as I recently learned (the hard way), our older bodies are more prone to injury. But we are AWESOME -- and I still feel like I'm in my 20s, anyway! :happy:0

40 and rocking it! I'm here if you want support!0

While it does get harder to lose once you pass that 40 mark,----its not nearly as hard to lose as when you hit 50! At that point, my motto was not '40 is the new 20'. My motto was 'FAT IS THE NEW THIN'. It didnt' catch on, so now I'm trying to lose 20 lbs also. Just started yesterday and already making great progress. This is a great site for support. Add me as a friend if you like. :happy:0
