How can I increase my calorie intake?

I eat breakfast, lunch, an afternoon snack, dinner, and sometimes a morning snack. I get full easily and I don't eat a lot so how can I eat more calories without eating unhealthy? Any meal ideas? Thank you

    Peanut butter, ice cream, or doughnuts are good sources of easy calories.

    I will repeat it again, because it's literally the most amazing thing ever: Peanut BUTTER. Hot peanut butter and ice cream sundae can easily add in 600 calories for me!

    Olive oil is 120 calories per Tbsp with 14 grams of fat. You can put it on almost anything.

    What has been mentioned that is unhealthy? All I see mentioned are carbs, sugar, protein, and fat.

    calorie dense foods i.e. bagels, pasta, ice cream, oreos...just make sure you are meeting micro nutrient needs ...

    Foods by themselves are not unhealthy, only unhealthy diets.

    Original or wavy lay's potato chips have lots of fat and carbs. Drizzle chocolate for more deliciousness.

    Healthy fats are the way to go! Natural, unsalted peanut butter, olive oil, avocado, etc.

    Unsweetened fruit juices. All the calories and nutrients of fruit without the fibre to make you feel full. Think about the last time you made fresh squeezed orange juice. Was 1 or 2 enough to make a nice size glass of orange juice? Not really. So a large glass of pure orange juice can have all the calories of 5 oranges.
    If you put a whole orange in a blender for a smooth, you do get the fibre.

    You can do yummy things with chocolate, peanut butter and ice-cream. If you are trying to lose or gain. Just watch portions.

    You don't have to eat a lot more volume, just make your meals more calorie dense.

    Peanut butter....nuts.... anything calorie dense :smile: for me leftover calories = good quality chocolate :smiley:

    No-no. If someone is having problems increasing calories, this would be more of a challenge as that is low cal. High calorie is what is needed in the situation in most cases.

    Let's just remember that everything is fine in moderation, as part of a balanced diet. Have the chocolate and the ice cream, but make sure you're hitting your other food groups too and getting your fruits and veg in, your complex carbs etc

    There is nothing inherently unhealthy about ice cream or chocolate.

    Add some olive oil to your food, just add a drizzle over the top - its healthy but packs 1-2hundred calories in 2 tablespoons.

    Nuts - walnuts, almonds, brazil nuts etc (btw, low salt/sugar peanut butter is ACTUALLY good for you - contrary to what dieters think. Its a good protein source too, its 98-99% peanuts!)

    High protein shakes/energy shakes (that are low GI and low in sugar).

    Avocado is a healthy fat, 1 large avocado can have around 300calories.

    I like getting wholegrain bread, putting olive oil on it and some crushed garlic. Toasting it in the oven - its like a healthy version of garlic bread! That packs in the calories no doubt.

    Eat what you usually eat, but just a little bit more (i.e if you have 2 pieces of toast, have 3) it will quickly add up the calories.
