Accountability

Accountability is something I have been struggling with and lack of motivation. I'm right back to my starting point and that alone is discouraging. What is your favorite way to self discipline or account for yourself?! Any advice is welcome.

I just aim to work smarter, not harder.0

I am pretty hard on myself. Probably harder than i should be but i look at this diet as a contest. Every day i strive to beat all the other people. For the most part that works and i am slowly leaning out.0

I think from experience i have learned that its about mind set for me personally. If my heart isnt in it I will lose all motivation to try.
However when I am feeling positive even if there are harder days, it's easier to stay on track!
Might sound a little crazy but it works for me0 -
If I'm not honest in this, I only hurt myself. It's only going to be me who remains overweight. No one else cares.2

Get it into your head, if you want something done that bothers you, then do It! No one else is going to do it!1

This is a good one... I like this question.
a. Keeping your word is often the only thing you have - share your goal with other people
b. Post up pictures of what you want to look like - get your ideal body / shape in your head
c. Downloaded a subliminal app on food and exercise which helped me to train my subconscious (listen 20 mins)
Often times we think about failure as the reason for working out. We set ourselves up for failure by talking to ourselves about failing... We talk about things like;
1. If I fail to do x,y,z I am a failure
2. I should have done x
3. I'm so frustrated that x happen - It must because of "z" excuse (we all have z excuses for everything)
Instead evolve the conversation to;
1. Could I have failed because I didn't plan right?
2. What would happen if I created an effective plan?
3. How far could I go with this?
NLP or Neuro-Linguistic Programing is something you should look into if you are having trouble with the conversation with yourself. You need to have a positive relationship with yourself to create positive outcomes.
