What are some of your fitness goals?
Continuing to work on my stamina so that I can run longer distance is mine. I also want to continue making healthier choices with food, to sustain positive energy.

Whoa. Is that even possible?!?! Good luck!
*Complete an unassisted pull up
*Finish a 5k in under 30 min0 -
Last year I wanted the backbend in yoga (pushing up into backbend, not dropping into it from standing), done.
This year I want pushups, full up from prone on ground - right now I am great at dropping slowly and controlled, from vinyasas, but not good at getting up from dead stop on the ground.
Also want to run (jog) for more than a half hour continuous; run a single sub 8 minute mile, and handstand without the wall; flexibility goal is to lay body on legs in forward bend (can do head to knees now, when I started I could not do a 90 degree angle with legs straight) and to continue to gain flexibility in quads and hip flexors.
But the pushups is the main goal.

On a bike it is...it would be a lot more attainable if I actually had a TT bike...but if I bought another bike, my wife would probably kill me...I'll have to make due with my road bike.1 -

My next goal is to hit a sub 30 minute 5k. My last one I timed was 31:54 but I've lost a lot of weight already and still have a bit more to go. It might take a couple more months but I'll be able to get there eventually0

Great thread.
I have no specific goals. I'm 45 and want to be in better shape than I was in my 20s. I want to blow all my previous max weights out of the water. I want to crush all my Strava times on the mountain bike. I want to be the best player on the field or court. I want to look like I put the work in.
Most of all I want to feel good unti I die!1 -

I'm in the opposite boat. I've got an Endurance Bike wanting to get Performance bike. To help me get into Crit Racing.0 -
I've been on maintenance for almost 5 years now and still going pretty strong with that, but over the past year I've really flaked out on my exercise/fitness. My work hours had changed so I had to cancel my gym membership because their hours didn't work for me anymore, and my usual workout buddy (sister) wasn't as available for hikes and runs on the weekends anymore. I used these as excuses to get lazy. Sad but true.
Lost my strength gains, most of my beloved muscle definition as everything seemed to go to flab - I guess you'd say I turned "skinny fat", and a significant amount of cardio endurance. I was so proud of my fitness just two years ago. I was a beast.
Lately, though, I've found a new gym that works with my schedule and switched from hiking with my sister to mountain biking with my husband. My goal now has been to return to my former awesomeness, rock my bikini again, plus improve my mediocre performance in mountain biking. I've been working on all of this now for a couple of months, and I can already see and feel a resurgence. I'll get there!
Good luck everyone!0 -

I've reached my weight goal which was first...then I reached my sleep goal (mostly!)....Now I need to work on getting my activity level back up again to what it was before I became ill 6 MONTHS ago..lol..I'm at lightly active right now, and am on the 6 week personal trainer plan with Fitbit, which worked fabulously to bring me from sedentary to active (where I think I'd still be if I wasn't derained by antibiotics!)0

I ride a Specialized Roubaix Elite...
It's really designed more for long endurance rides than TTs or crits...it's great on a 1/2 century or more, but it's not a great sprinter...can't even come close to hanging with a true TT bike or racer. I mostly do endurance stuff anyway though so it's all good...my coach has just been wanting me to challenge myself and get out of my comfort zone a bit. I can ride all day and slog out miles...going as fast as I possibly can without blowing up for a 20K is another story. I haven't done any crits yet...not sure if I'm interested or not...I do dabble in CX in the fall, but mostly for fun.0 -
