Before my son married, he used to use the phone book to look up two phone numbers with the same last name. He would call one, put them on hold, then call the other, and just let them talk. They usually said things like:
    "Hello"
    "Hello"
    (silence)
    "Uh, hello!"
    ". . . Hello . . ."
    "Who is this?"
"Who is this? You called me!
"No I didn't! The phone rang and I answered it"
    And so it went on.

But one day, my son did this, and this is something like what ensued:
    "Hello"
    "Hello"
    (silence)
    "Who is this . . . Son?"
    "Dad?"
    . . . .
And it turned out that this was a call that should have been private, unshared with my son. My son was obviously stunned and whispered to me, "I should not be hearing this, but if I hang up, it will cut the connection!"

So my son stayed on until they said their emotional goodbyes.

It turned out that this father and son had not spoken to each other for years, and through this call, they made amends as well as arrangements to see each other that weekend, with a promise to not let that happen again. According to the phone book, they lived in the same town.

My son told me that would be his last prank call.

i'm not sure....i'll have to double-check, but I don't think I was the one who made the claim i was too mature for prank calls.

i like doing kid things. so i will play with my wolverine action figure that's on my desk now, if you don't mind.

Call a Auto Parts Store and tell them you need a Water Pump Gasket for a 2001 Toyota Tacoma 4 cylinder. Once they look it up, ask them to describe it to you.

You insinuated having a comic book character as an icon=immature. Or at least it read that way.

I was pointing out the hipocrasy if you did mean it that way.
