A few questions about calories

I have a couple of questions that maybe some one can answer. First, a 70/30 preformed hamburger patty obviously has lots more calories that a 90/10 one does, but if I cook the 70/30 patty on the George Foreman or on my regular grill, will that render more of the fat out and bring down the calorie count? Second, why is rotisserie chicken so much higher in calories than regular chicken? Thanks!

I don't believe you lose enough calories to try and lower the count - I would count it as whatever hamburger it is you purchased

Rotisserie chicken sometimes has stuff added to it for flavor, to be more juicy etc. that increases the calories

For the hamburger, you could just weigh it after cooking and input the calories for cooked/grilled beef hamburger.

For the chicken, the rotisserie chicken entry probably includes the skin and any cooking oil/butter/whatever used in it. Not sure what "regular chicken" entry you're using, but it may be one for boneless, skinless breast meat with no add'l cooking fats. Would definitely be a lower calorie count than a rotisserie chicken thigh with cooking oil and skin. And, the rotisserie chicken entry may be an average of light & dark together, not sure how that works exactly.

They lift up the skin and slather it with butter before roasting it...I don't know about the burger, sorry.

To clarify, I use either skinless chicken thighs and legs or boneless, skinless chicken thighs and legs. I noticed that when I compared a rotisserie chicken thigh and leg with skin on, it was far more calories than a chicken leg and thigh with bone in and skin on. Your answers make sense. Too bad though! I thought that a rotisserie chicken would be a healthful way to eat chicken when I don't have time to cook. Oh well.....
