Hello, I joined myfitnesspal about a few days ago. I'm 5"4 and weigh 174 lbs and want to lose 40+ lbs. I walk 6 miles everyday and am going to start doing 30 mins cardio all days of week. I chose a cardio workout from fitnessblender and according to it, I may burn from 296 - 404. So since I do not know the definate number of calories I'll be burning, what should I enter as my calories burnt in exercise in my diary?

Thanks to anyone who answers.

Go with 50% of the lowest number to be safe (so 148 calories), then adjust upward or downward depending on your rate of loss over then next 3-4 weeks.

I usually compare the cardio to walking or running. If it's easier( like walking) I put in a comparable calorie count to walking for 30 min, if it's more difficult, I compare the calories to running. It would take me running about 40 min or a little over 4 miles to burn 300 calories...

Think I might do that since its the safest option. Thank you for the help!
